Good to see everyone in the Howe (except Phoenix) lose.

Solid game for the B's today. Basically came down to goaltending. Both teams had 0 PP goals, Blues had 29 shots, the Bruins had 28. However the Bruins new starter Jose Theodore was able to make a couple more stops than Ray Emery.

And everyone's favorite WDF Metropolit had two goals that put him back where he belongs - leader of the CPHL scoring race!

Player.........................GP...G...A....P.... +/-
G.METROPOLIT(BRU)......24..18..16...34..13
R.BRIND'AMOUR(THR).....23..16..17...33..15
J.THORNTON(PEN).........22..10..22...32..14

Game Stars

1 - Glen Metropolit (BRU)
2 - Jose Theodore (BRU)
3 - Taylor Pyatt (BRU)

Big win for the SAbres in an exciting game over the Leafs. Toronto is one of the teams we are chasing for playoff contention. While the Sabres 24 points would have them nicely in a playoff spot in the Howe, it has then buried near the bottom of a bunched group in their conference. A fairly even game, but some of the Sabres newly juggled lines come through. Lupul gets tossed , as Toronto suffers injuries to two key players

Isles played pretty much the entire game without their top forward after Jagr got the boot for HOOKING Hecht?!! Hooking??!!!!

Vermette then followed it up with a two-hander across Tyutin's face in the 2nd and got the boot himself.

Semin continues to impress, scoring two goals while Lidstrom adds another two assists to bring his total to 4 points in his first two games since coming over from the Panthers.

Zubrus also scored to get his 2nd as an Islander, while Aaron Miller rounded out the scoring for the Isles on the PP.

Well, didnt expect to beat the isles, this will probably be one of the closest games the ducks play for the rest of the year because the firesale has really destroyed any sort of depth up front.

Leafs go down 3-2 to Sabres.

A closely played game in all aspects but the Sabres were the team to score in the third period and that got them the win.

On the plus side, John Grahame was solid in a losing effort. That's 2 solid games in a row for him which has allowed Lundqvist to get back to full health. So plan on seeing Hank for the rest of this group of games.

On the negative side, Patrick Marleau and Mattias Norstrom were both injured and are day to day. They join Nathan Horton, whose had that classification for a few days now. Tough to pick up injuries when we're playing to many games in a row. Hopefully we can mix and match and find some lines that work.

Woof!

The Desert dogs rally behind Danis again! With Toskala still on the mend, Yann got his 2nd straight start and 2nd straight victory. This time he stopped 25 Senator shots to post his 3rd win on the season. Danis was also named the game's 1st star.

Duvie Westcott stepped up and filled the void left by injured Kuba, Duvie had 2 assists and was named 2nd star.

Ottawa goon Paul Ranger slashed Vaclav Prospal across the face (and received a game misconduct) early in the 1st period. Prospal has now joined Kuba in the pressbox.

The Coyotes go home to face the Flames Tuesday night in a battle of the 2 best defensive teams in the CPHL. Now watch it will be a wild 9-8 score.

Yeah pretty much outplayed by the Habs in this one - out shot - Nabby kept us in it but we didn't deserve to get this one.

Hopefully the arrival of Shane Doan kicks this team ass.

Joe Sakic really sucks this year. WDF?
