Thrashers continue to be red hot. Unbeaten in regulation now in 15 with a 12-0-1-2 record in that time after a 7-3 win over the Oilers Sunday Afternoon. Brenden Morrow lead the way with the hat trick and Rod Brind'Amour is the new CPHL scoring leader with 33 points. 5 Thrashers sit in the top 12 in the points race. After starting the season 0-2-1-0, Atlanta has gone 16-1-1-2 since then. Thrashers get 2 days off before facing the Sharks on Wednesday.

Yan Danis proves to be too good for the Wings. Making Turco look like a Pee Wee div 3 goalie. Eric Cole was the lone bright spot today with 3 points.

Me neither - so many strange things in that game.
Syl loses his starting goalie.
I was down to 4 dmen by the end of the first - including two of my top guys. And down to 3 dmen by the end of the game
Zhitnik played 33 minutes
Kaberle played 30 minutes
Rathej 28 minutes

Man its crazy how many games you have against the other conference. You've had like 15 already. Ive had 2. Actually, it looks like its like that most of the season. It'll be interesting to see how your team responds in the playoffs against tougher opposition.

Actually by the time the regular season is over it will be pretty even. I play 42 games vs our own conference and 44 vs the West, compared to 43 and 43 for you. I have a ton of games vs our own conference coming up (4 vs Caps, 4 vs Panthers, etc).

The Thrashers aren't as good as they'd like to think. I mean it's easy when you've taken 12 of 14 points from the worst team in the league.
Hell I don't even think teams in the Jets division get to play then that often

While the thrashers have played the Jets a lot, to beat the oilers 7-3 is hard to do. Looking at his squad he has a solid offensive combined with almost a full lineup with good DF. They may have a slightly inflated record due to the opponents they have faced but I think they are a good squad and will compete well this season.

Lol. Bash the Thrashers day. I love it!!
You are right though, if you took my record against the Jets away i'd only be 10-2-2-2 or in 7 less games played, i'd only be 1 pt back of the Blues

And then you'd have to make those 7 games up against teams who weren't as bad as the Jets...for all you know, you coulda have been 10-9-2-2

Yup, that's clearly what would have happened. REBUILD!
PS.....I never once did say my team was all that and a bag of chips or anything. I don't even think i'm the favorites to win at the moment. I think Goffie will win.

So... in that case... that makes me, technically, the best team in the league. I mean those Jets wins should only be worth 1 point each.

Well at least someone does, cause I don't...LOL...Personally the schedule aside I think that the Thrashers are one of the top teams in the CPHL. They have a solid forward crop led by St. Louis and Datsyuk who are stars and a solid D top to bottom and two goalies that can share the workload of a long season. IMO they have the recipe for success.
In Pittsburgh news, the Pens have won 3 straight for the first time this season, with a huge 4-0 shutout over the division rival Sens. The win pulls the Pens over .500 for the first time this year. Thornton added 2 points giving him 32 on the year and leaving him one back from the league leading Brind'amour.
