7-1 is beyond anything I thought they could be at midway through the year...I was 'hoping' to be 5-3 and within a game of the division lead. The meltdown by the Bears (though they are the only negative on the sched so far) was unseen by these eyes, and I though the Vikings would be better. Still not out of the woods yet though...1 game ahead of Detroit and still have to play them twice. The rest of the schedule is somewhat favorable though other than the Cowboys game after Thanksgiving...so i can see a 12-4/13-3 season as long as that #4 guy stays healthy.
Oh yeah...the old man who should of retired two years ago went for 350+ yds and 3 TD's today against a pretty good defence. What a bum.

Damn. I want my lions to be on top of the North for once. We deserve a break. Oh well just talking about being a competitive team is a treat I guess.

That in order for them to lose a game to a team not named the Patriots....Everything has to go wrong?

That's sorta what I was thinking.

RUN RICKY RUN!!!!!!!!!!!
If he's in any sort of shape, he should be able to run up to 200 yards a game with our O-line, the dolphins are averaging 4.8 YPC

WDF is wrong with Vinatieri? So frustrating right now. Missed 49 and 38 yard FG's today in the 1st quarter.......so frustrating. Come on Colts, can't lose 3 in a row. So many injuries but no excuse.

A couple weeks ago I discovered to glory that is nfl dotcom. It has all the matchups and who has possession and it refreshes itself. Laptop, coffee table... I finished my tea and next up is a beer.
Lets go:
GB
KC
SEA
DAL
and most importantly: Phi and NE

Well Chiefs defence can't possibly play better than it did in the first half....yet they're tied with the Colts at 3. You know Indy is going to whoop the Chiefs for about 20 in the second half if the KC offence continues to do nothing. Sad to see because the defence is really playing well for the Chiefs, but that team can not overcome mistakes.
Glad to see Priest Holmes looking good though. He's not breaking anything, but the fact that he's still playing and can take a hit like he did from Bethea is great. For all the flack the NFL gets for Travis Henry's and Michael Vicks, there are guys like Priest Holmes as well who do remarkable things. Unfortunately society and the media prefer to mock the misfortune and stupid doing of others rather than tell a story of a guy who perserveres and wants to show the young guys on his team what being a professional is all about. His performance doesn't neccessarily warrant it, but his attitude should get him come back player of the year.

To add on, NO just went for it 4th and 10 on the HOU 35 down 10-17 and failed miserably.. WDF? Don't they have Mare one of the strongest legs in the business? And if they don't trust him... PUNT! It's the 3rd Quarter!
EDIT: HAHA, HOU just went for it on 4th and 1 on the NO 44 and failed.
This game is pretty hilarious.

Dwayne Bowe is really good. I actually like how Croyle looks too. If the Chiefs can rebuild their line here in the next year and a half or so, find a way to keep Jarred Allen they might have a really solid team two years down the road.

Agreed.
Very well coached team too, they play together and for each other.
They need another receiver or two and some OL help and they'll be tougher than they already are.

Well Chiefs can't possibly play better on D than they did today....but not enough. Oh well I think most everyone on the planet thought Indy would win this game like 50-7. Good effort....but you still lose. Sucks to be a team that sucks..LOL.
Oh, and to add to our Farve debate....Did Peyton Manning forget how to play QB in the last two weeks or are the injuries to his line and not having Marvin Harrison hurting him? I think those are having a huge affect myself. But in the end he drove them down the field to win the game. Gamers do that.

Colts win 13-10. Not a pretty win at all but I will take it! Nice to get back in the win column after 2 heartbreakers. Play in Atlanta next week.

Yeah I thought of you when they won...they're 2nd best in the league..no one other than them and Brady's boys have a chance (other than upsets). While I really don't care about the NFL and think college fb is much more fun to watch, I'm going for the Patriot's cuz my husband's fantasy team will win if Brady continues to kick butt.

CBS's NFL coverage is a joke.
Their post-game show is updating CLE/BAL play-by-play, but have yet to mention Antrel Rolle icing the ARI/CIN game with an NFL record 3rd TD return in one game (although it did get called back). What a disgrace.

OMG do you guys think that's a field goal in the Ravens/Cleveland game? The play is not reviewable. I dont think it should be a FG because it didn't cross the bar thingy but they said if they determine that it hit the curved part of the post then it's good...EEK.
Anyone else watching?
Actually, i just saw some more highlights and it did cross the bar, hit the vertical bar on the other side, and came back out. It should be a field goal...
