Wild Make 4 deals - none of them of note

A wacky string of deals over the last 24 hours.

First we traded a 3rd for Dick Matvichuk
We then swapped Ken Klee for 2 thirds.
We then traded Matvichuk for Brad Lukowich.

The point of all that?

Not sure - but I ended up with a 3rd and 500K out of it all.



The Wild also dealt Marek Schwarz for TJ Hensick - we think TJ is closer to being an impact player though Schwarz is going to be a VERY good goalie.

Nice wheeling and dealing to get a 3rd and some cash for essentially free.

The 4th. Solid deal both ways. Hensick and Schwarz are both great prospects. Hensick is very close to making the NHL club while Schwarz is dominating the AHL.

The Hawks are happy to pick up Matvichuk and hopefully improve their defense. When he will line up beside the new acquisition Ward on the 2nd pairing until Boucher comes back. A big hole of this team was the defensive play when I arrived and hopefully with the additions of Jonsson, Luongo, Ward, Matvichuk, Carter, Rucchin and Axelsson, this should change.
