"North Korea has now admitted to possessing nuclear weapons. Government officials there claimed that they are needed as defense from an increasingly hostile attitude from Washington. It was also stated that N. Korea will not be reentering negotiations on disarmament for the foreseeable future. "

It's been common knowledge for at least 3 years that Kim and his crew have had nukes. It's why Russia, Japan, China and others, along with the US, have been talking about disarmament for 2 years.

He is a nutcase, and truly a nightmare for the world. He is one guy crazy enough to actually use these things.

Scary.

Bold but baseless Prediciton Of The Day - Kim is dead within five years and NK is an entirely different, although grossly impoverished, place, with no shoving required from the USA.

And nobody gets nuked in the meantime.

I agree with the nut case sentimnet. This guy is whacked. Are we headed towards a real cold war that turns into the real deal?

But I thought the Dear Leader discovered space, and invented the internet??!

They don't come much crazier than Kim.

American's are scared of much simpler things than Nuclear Weapons, so I doubt they should 'be scared', because they 'are scared'. Hence all the desperate maneuvering over the past 3-4 years by interested parties (with little result).

Fear is a great motivator, it can conquer the world...

He's the only one I am willing to bet will sell nukes to anyone who can offer him a price. I would not be surprised if he sold nukes to enemies of US. This is going to be very bad...

South Korea and Japan have a LOT more to be scared of then America.

Kind of funny how America has spent 300 billion (not to mention the long term commitment of a sizable part of their military) going after the one country without nukes... yeish....

The best part is that all they had to do was listen, everyone told them exactly what was going on. Iraq said they didn't and didn't. Korea said they do and they do. Iran said they don't, are fuzzy on the details, but imply that although power is the main goal reprocessing for nuke manufacture it is no ones business but there own.

The best will be if it was the Pakistani government that sold the final tech to Korea, as it was the American that gave them nukes, questionably, some time ago....

hhmmm.....
