Simple question...As per DFF's suggestion.

Will the Patriots go undefeated throughout the season and win 19 games?

I say they can. Bellichick is angry, the Pats are angry, they're out for the kill.

I think they can. It looks to me like, barring injuries, only the Steelers have a solid chance to knock them off. Although since it is in Foxboro, the Pats should still win. Perhaps the Giants, but since the Pats haven't let up in any game this season I can't see them not playing the starters for at least a half, no matter what they have clinched.

I don't like the Pats (actually, it is more Belichek*), but I really respect the way they put their team together and seem to be able to over adversity better than any other team.

* his evasiveness and the way he won't let his coaches speak with the media rub me the wrong way. But I bet he has some amazing insights

I agree -- Steelers should be their biggest challenge of the remaining games.

I think the Colts get'em with a healthy harrison in the afc championship game.

I say Regular season Steelers will be the biggest challenge and playoffs Colts @ Foxboro will be their biggest challenge should that occur. NE is definately the team to beat now and they very well could go undefeated. I really hope my boys get to play them in the AFC Championship again.

19 games? I thought an NFL season had 16 games. (Oh, unless you include the 3 possible playoff games)

Their last game of the season is against NYG. Assuming they're already 15-0, Indy could be at best 14-1, and it would be a meaningless game to the Pats. I know the Pats have a vendetta against the world, but it would be stupid to keep their starters in for a meaningless game, while a good Giants team will likely be in a fight in the NFC.

Pats: 15-1 regular season, at best. No perfect season.

Really? I would see the Giants being their biggest obsacable not because of skill level. However just the fact that they could be possibly playing them 15-0, playing inside Giants stadium, on the last game of the year before the playoffs.

Pittsburgh is good but not anywhere close to the Colts and the Colts couldn't even handle the Pats with the refs in their pockets. Steelers have beaten what? ONE team which is over .500 THIS YEAR and that was Clevland in the first week.

Steelers one the road this year:

Week 1: Won - Browns (5-3)
Week 4: Lost - Cardinals (3-5)
Week 7: Lost - Broncos (3-5)
Week 8: Won - Bengals (2-6)

IMO that does not screen "we are going to beat a 12-0 team on the road".

Also I hate the whole * thing that is coming out now, they got caught when they were playing the 1-8 Jets. I am sure without the spying they would be able to beat them, possibly with half the team. The Jets are brutal and Shula is only doing it to get his own fame back up and remind everyone he was the only coach to have a perfect season.

Well, to this point they haven't shown that having a 40+ point lead in a game is enough to make them take the starters out so why should we believe Belijerk will do so with a full game left on the schedule?

I hope the Steelers beat them. If not, I hope they go 16-0 and end up losing in the playoffs. Nothing against any of the players on their team, I just don't like their coach.

Shula is doing it for his own ego, give me a break, and believe me he doesn't have to remind anyone it's not like its ever been forgotten... it's brought up every year when a team is still 6-0, 7-0, 8-0, 9-0, 10-0, 11-0, 11-1... opps on the shelf till next year

I think they are about 50/50 now to go 16-0. A lot depends on if the last game with NYG has any meaning.

Shula should shut his yapper - the 1972 Dolphins had the easiest schedule in NFL history.

Very unlikely. Colts couldn't handle the Pats on Sunday even with the following advantages:

home field = +3 points
outrageously bad officiating = +6 points
missing Harrison = -4 points

The Colts were also missing Ugoh (starting OT). I think having him back and Harrison helps the Colts a lot, but that is all negated by having to go to Foxboro in the cold and having more even officiating.

I really, really wish Harrison would have been healthy on Sunday. I think the Pats could have still won the game but it would have been nice to remove that "Yah, but" for Colts supporters. It will be interesting to see how things play out down the stretch.

I would agree, the Giants on NFL Network will be the clincher.

I do think the Steelers should be able to keep up with them for a while but when Heinz Ward is your best reciever, no offense but...

The only thing that makes me think they will go 16-0 and play the starters vs the Giants is that this is History. A superbowl is nice but one team wins that every year, there is so far only one udnefeated team in NFL history.

PS I hope just destroy they Jets. I am thinking 84-10

This is why I am getting sick of hearing about the 72 team, I wasn't even born then but it is widely known that their schedule was easy, and they had a stakced team compared to what anyone could put together now with salary caps.

I think the poll represents the feelings of eveyone who knows or watches football, 50/50. It should be interesting going down the stretch.

There good enough too, I'd love to see them go 17-1 and lose in the AFC Championship. So far, nobody has come close to even touching them besides Indy

I think that they have the best chance in a long time, but its a long season and there is a good chance that they lose a game just based on the league parity. If this was a regular season poll then I might have said yes, but once the play-offs hit the teams are that much better...a close game and it could easily be a Patriots loss.

like take the Patriots for example, you really have to feel for them facing 6 games against the worst division in football where their opponents have a combined record of 5-20 and the bills make up 4 of those wins. Not only that but the Patriots have outscored both the Jets and Dolphins combined.

The fact that these teams can make sure they can get up and win the big games after facing off against lesser opponents is a credit.
