Good game for the B's tonight. Out shot the Canes 31 - 23. Got scoring from three lines. Unfortunatley we lost Reasoner for 3 weeks. Schubert looks like he will make his way back into the line up and Bonk will move up from the 4th line to the 3rd line. Khabby also added an assist and is leading the league with 4 assists in 15 games.

WDF Metropolit and Curtis Brown both with multiple point games.

Game Stars

1 - Jason Arnott (BRU)
2 - Glen Metropolit (BRU)
3 - Dany Heatley (HUR)

edit: LOL check out what Reasoner is out with:

Marty Reasoner sidelined 2-4 weeks (spleen injury)

Pens start slow getting out shot 14-1 in the first period, but luckily that one shot found the back of the net, the rest of the game was pretty even as overtime couldn't solve anything in this game.

Isles drop a close game in OT to the Caps extending their losing streak to four games. The following three day rest is much needed as Volchenkov should make his return to the line up after serving his suspension and hopefully Jagr will be back on Friday as well.

The Blues are disappointed to loose 3-1 in the second of back to back against the Canadiens, but not really suprised. Curtis Sanford stopped 17 of 20 in the lose. The downfall of the Blues was allowing the Habs to go 3 for 8 on the power play

Flyers 7 Devils 3

After scoring 9 goals in their last game against the Jets, the Flyers were out to prove that the game was not a fluke. Their 7 goal outing against a much better Devils team and against CPHL level goaltending showed that it was not. The Flyers were very effective on the PP going 3 for 5 lead by Mike Modano who had a four point night, with 3 of those points coming on the PP. Jay Pandolfo continued his suprising offensive play scoring his team leading 8th goal of the season to get things started for the Flyers. The only negative was the Flyers Chris Pronger being ejected after he politely kicked one of the Devils players in the nuts. Of course in the “new” CHPL, the refs felt the need to return the favor to Mr. Pronger in the form of a five minute major and ejection. Kevin Bieksa and Mike Richards seemed most angered by this development and made the Devils play with a few harmless elbows, highsticks and a run at the goalie. All this offense came with number 1 center Andy McDonald sititng the game out still recovering from his injury. The team hopes to have him back for tomorrow nights game when the Flyers host the Florida Panthers.

Power Play disappointing again in tie with Pens.

The Leafs have to disappointed with a tie in this game. They ended up with 14 power plays, almost half of them in the first period. They scored on 2 but that wasn't enough to earn full points against the Pens.

Defensively the team was solid, but mostly because it spent so much time on the PP. Pens only managed 1 shot in the first period and 21 all game. Leafs should have done better.
