Default Amazing Race 12 Who wants in on the pool?

Anyone else watching?

The whole donkey part really affected the race, and I was laughing out loud. You can't force a donkey to do anything.

We're a week late but we'll do a pool. The good is that we all have one episode to evaluate our pick!

So far we have

Bobblehead
Syl
KFF
Sarichfan
Caged Great
Halifax Drunk
Van Flames Fan
BigMac19
Moon
Yeah Baby

Especially if you're screaming at it or threatening to break its neck. That was hilarious.

Yeah, treat the donkey nicely you idiots!! Act like an ass and your ass won't work for you. Oh well better luck next time Calg-ARI! Too bad they don't have a team like Eric and whatever his face were....they might have stayed around the playboy mansion for a bit before leaving for the airport.

Maybe I'm living under a rock, but I had no idea the show was even starting tonight. No commercials, no mention in the papers. I thought it was cancelled or something.

Then I was scrolling through my dish guide and 'voila!' to my pleasant surprise.

Just glad one of the more annoying teams is out already. Any team that screams or fights or cries is one I immediately cheer against.

Don't have a favourite quite yet, but I think the hippy-ish guy and his girl should do ok.

The goth couple was annoying in the very brief time I watched.

Also did anyone else find it kinda creepy when Phil was telling the brother and sister about the moonlight snowshoeing in Lake Louise?

Great start to the new season. I think that's the first time they went to Ireland.

What you don't want to go on a nice romantic vacation with your sister?

Yeah it was a bit creepy.

The teams that had donkeys that wouldn't move were the ones screaming at it and acting hysterical. i found it funny they never clued in to be calm around the animal like the all the team passing them. I found it beyond funny when the blond and her boyfriend finally decided to try maybe giving the donkey a push instead of screaming at it trying to pull it's head off. Low and behold a little push worked.

I was really hoping that by the time the last place team had checked in it would be dark.

Good first episode but part of me would love to see the first leg either be non-elimination or have it be one of those super legs.

I was getting ticked off, I thought they were going to end up hurting the donkey.
That guy was so annoying, I was happy to see them lose.

Ah crap, I didn't realize it was on otherwise I would have watched it. One of the few reality show that I'm glad is still around.

Anyone know if they're going to Montreal this year? I saw two people running through the airport with a couple cameramen following them about 6 weeks ago. I was wondering if it was the amazing race.

This Amazing Race was filmed toward the end of July and most of August. At least that was the six weeks I was told to block out on my application.

Ah thanks for the info. This was late September, so must have been something else.

and they have been to Montreal semirecently so I'd be surprised if they were back there, except maybe for a plane switch or some such

I think so. I think they did some searching around town and then had to go to olympic stadium. if memory serves one the roadblock for the leg was when they had to do some Cirque Du Soleil stuff on a trapeze...a catch and release or something.

On a side note, could anyone tell me when the new episodes are on? I caught the one yesterday and really like the show, but always only watch random episodes since I don't keep track.
Cheers!

it was a few seasons ago, maybe even the family season.

they had to curl at a rink near McDonald campus (but it was confusing and alot of teams ended up going to the hockey rink at McGill which screwed them up). they stayed over night at Olympic stadium

This looks like it should be a fun season. Plenty of couples who fight. A Father-daughter combination who have issues is always fun to watch as well.

So far, my biggest hate is for the Brother-sister combo who came in first. Right from the start... when the brother said "we have an advantage in the race, because they are more intelligent", just because they are Engineers. I find this funny because i deal with engineers on a daily basis and a lot of them have this same attitue.

They're more intelligent but they couldn't figure out a freaking map after they left the playboy mansion.

I'm anxious to see what happens when the chicks that want to flirt their way to the top interact with the dude who cheated on his girlfriend.
