Thrashers get their 5th straight win. 11-2-1 in that 14 game stretch that we said would be key in turning that early 0-2-1 start around. Interesting note that this was the 1st time in the 17 games this season that the Thrashers were outshot by the opponent. The top players on the Thrashers keep on playing like it. 4 days rest now to get the whole team back to 100 CD.

Well two more injuries to a team that already has no one healthy...and our goaltending sucked arse again. Fun times.

Ducks outshoot thrashers 30-28 but luongo craps the bed again. I dont like him in real life and I am really not liking him in the sim. I'll be patient though, an 84OV goalie should turn it around eventually.

Kings Down Jets
A good home result from the Kings tonight against the divisional rival Winnipeg Jets. A little trouble on the penatly kill tonight giving up 2 goals in 4 chances but overall a solid performance where the offence bails out the team. Danny Briere came up big with a 3 point performance earning 1st star recognition as a result. Also of note, Dion Phaneuf finally woke up from his funk to record a goal and an assist. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
The Kings now get a much needed 3 days off where Tim Thomas will be put into the Hyperbaric Chamber in order to recover and get his second wind.

A much better effort from the Stars today. Thank you to the officals for actually calling a penalty on the Canucks today!! I'm very pleased that we tied it up with an extra attacker goal in the last minute. On the road, that's definitely a good tie.
Two days off to prepare for Florida. That game will be the first for Scott Gomez. Next game after that is right against former teammate Patrik Elias @ Minnesota.

Well it appears Stempniak and Connolly have some chemistry together. Both getting 4 points. Doubt it will last though. Thats ends a long long losing streak. Turco plays 70+ games in the nhl but cant go more than one game in the sim without dropping 2 points in conditioning.

Oh boy, Isles slumping of late dropping a 4-2 decision to the Sabres tonight. Jagr was knocked out by Nolan Pratt with a dirty hit which the league handed Pratt a 4-game suspension for. Jagr will be out for 1-2 weeks.
Caps roll into town tomorrow. Hedberg is expected to start.

we'll take the win, but hard to lose another player. Nolan Pratt gets 2 points and then gets suspended by midgame. Leaves Sabres without two of their top 3 defensive dmen in Pratt and Devries, one of their top PK guys in Ortmeyer (stuck at 97 OV for the 4th straight game in the pressbox) and Reinprecht
Wolski and Dave Scatchard continue to forge interesting chemistry. The league leading Sabre powerplay went 1:1 on the night.
Believe our next game, against Detroit will be our first out of conference

Flames GM Axmann keeps talking about making changes to the club and they continue to find ways to win. Maybe I need to keep the boys on their toys, cause it sure seems to be working so far.

Good effort by the boys. Holmquist is really starting to play well when called upon and was the 3rd star.
Our PP is starting to click going 2 for 5 and we did a great job of chasing Toskala from the net on only 21 shots.
Our PK was great but we need to take less penalties. 8 is way to many,
