Looking For A New Video Game To Play...
...it doesn't necessarily have to be brand new, but can be run on a Pentium 4 2.8Mhz.
Basically, I'm looking for something that's set in a fantasy universe, where you can control a party of characters, and customize them into wizards, witches, warriors, and whatever class you want them to be.
Storyline I don't really care about, so long as you can quickly get onto a map and play against an army of skeletons or whatever.
I waste a few hours each day playing Starcraft, but I'm bored of it now, so if you know what that is, you'll have a good idea of what I am looking for, namely, a good game you can kill off 45 minutes to an hour on.
Any suggestions?

^ You can't control multiple characters at a time in that. Plus, its an MMORPG.

When you say control multiple characters / party, what do you mean exactly?
I'm thinking Diablo from what you said, but it's limitations are the lack of control of the one party member you have.

Baldurs Gate. A bit old, but classic.

Yeah, Baldur's Gate 2, if you've never played that is an absolute classic. Most of the Bioware offerings are good. Planescape:Torment was great too.

How about Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion?
It should play on that computer if the details aren't turned way up.
If you can play it, Oblivion is probably the best RPG game in the last few years. You only control 1 character, and not a party, but it is very open ended as to what type of character you become. The graphics are awesome.

Sounds like you're looking for an RTS game?
Age of Empires 3 might be up your alley.
Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter Nights are amazing games, but they are RPGs. BG II is still my favorite game of all time though.

Baldurs Gate 1,2 + expansions. Neverwinter Nights 1,2 + expansions.
That's exactly what you want.
Oblivion is amazing and all, but you only control yourself.

Sounds to me like Baldur's gate/Neverwinter nights.
If you don't like the D&D rules (I have trouble understanding them and don't like putting in the effort...that said, BG2 ruled) then you might want to check out Dungeon Siege 2. I never played the first one, and only played the second one a bit...but it is all about making a party and going to do quests and such. Downside I didn't like is that it seemed verrrrrrrry automated.

From what you've said I may just have something for you.
Download a SNES emulator and a Ogre Battle ROM, that game is exactly what your are looking for.

Neverwinter Nights sounds cool. Can you customize your character's costumes and armor in it? Like if I wanted Samurai armor, could I find a download that would turn my characters into Samurai's and Ninjas?

If you're going for the SNES emulator, I'd recommend Chrono Trigger. Man, that game was awesome...

Speaking of RTS when is Starcraft 2 coming out? The original is my all time favourite RTS.

Speaking of RTS, check out Warhammer 40K: Dawn of war and it's expansions (Winter Assault & Dark Crusade). You can pick them all up for $40 or so and they are the best RTS' in years.
