I'm pretty she and Bill O'Riley have sold millions of books, so while we may find them funny, a lot of people take them serious.

She also infuriates people on the right. She more often then not hasn't got a grip on reality leaving her point baseless.

Then again, it's a testament to her "skill" in that we are still talking about her here.

Well, Tucker Carlson is clearly baiting that idiot, Carolyn Parrish. She just makes it worse.

Now here's a great example of the type of thing Ann Coulter does: adopts a completely untenable and absurd position in the hopes of drawing attention to herself. Isn't satire great?

And for those who hate Ann Coulter, do yourself a favour and pick up Al Franken's book "Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them." The first two chapters are nothing but a cathartic assault on Coulter, and set up what is one of the funnier books you're likely to read.

Unfortunate that the most ignorant also get more air time, there is something to be said about to much freedom of speech.

No, there isn't. Let her talk. As long as I can make fun of her when she talks.

She's sold a lot of books too, so someone out there must subscribe to what she's saying, even if she doesn't.

Definitely. She certainly has a cult following, and there are countless others who probably don't openly admit to agreeing with her, but they secretly do. Anyone who visits political messageboards will notice that many do take her seriously and actually look up to her.

As much as it might hurt to admit it, my dear friend Tucker Carlson is absolutely right. Canadians with any ambition do tend to move to the United States. Look at all the Canadians whom are famous internationally - Wayne Gretzky, Celine Dion, Alanis Morrisette, Mike Myers, Pamela Anderson, Neil Young, the list goes on......... where do they all live? In the USA. Face it, the weather is better, the taxes are less, it's a better place to live.

So basically you are saying that most Canadians are not ambitious?

Nice.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I personally believe it's true. Bar the west coast, Canada is not what a normal person would consider a nice place to live, not because of high taxes, or good health care, or even low crime. It's not a nice place to live because it's too damn cold. Snow eight months of the year is not "nice".

I don't personally believe Canadians to be most ambitious people, no. As Tucker says in the video clip, he believes that Canadians are very defensive over this, and he can understand that. I understand it, too, but it doesn't make it any less true.

Captain Canada himself, Wayne Gretzky, hasn't live in Canada for twenty years and likely never will again. Don't tell me it's because of his wife, because they haven't lived together for the past eight years. Don't tell me it's because of his kids, because they all live in LA and he lives in Phoenix. His lives down there because it's simply a better place to live, which is something most Canadians have a hard time admitting or understanding, and that's perfectly natural. I wouldn't want someone telling me that my country sucks and that somewhere else is better. I'm a neutral who has lived in both Canada and the USA, and is a native of neither. Canada is a great country but there is no comparison when it comes to quality of life - the snow and cold is unbearable. Honestly, ask yourself, if you had the choice to live in a place where it snows and is below freezing for eight months a year, or in a place with more moderate temperature, like California, where would you choose? Almost all of those who have a choice, like Jim Carrey, and all those listed above, choose the good ol' US and A.

It might surprise you to learn that there are thousands of Americans living in the city of Calgary alone then.

And why wouldn't they? Calgary is a great place to live. In a city of over a millions, there are thousands of people from most countries living here.

I think you're either missing my point altogether or else unwilling or unable to acknowledge it. The average person would prefer to live in a place with a moderate climate rather than a harshly cold one. That's all I'm saying. Tucker Carlson makes the same point - most Canadians with some degree of ambition move to the United States if they are able. It's a fact. I can't think of one American celebrity or noted intellectual who has decided to give up residence in the USA and move to Canada. Can you? The reason is simple - there are far more opportunities and a better basic lifestyle afforded to Americans.

The point should be that people tend to go where the opportunity is. You just pointed out a bunch of people who are in an industry that in centered in the United States. Hell, I moved from a relatively comfortable climate on the west coast to northern BC because of opportunity. It's no different than entertainers moving to the US. Wayne Gretzky btw, was traded to an American team and married an American. I wouldn't suppose that is why he lives there now... Kind of like Joel Otto living in Canada.

And in case you were interested, here is a list of numbers:

http://www.overseasdigest.com/amcit_nu2.htm

Number of Americans living in select Canadian cities:

Ottawa 24,300

Calgary 105,000

Halifax 40,000

Montreal 65,000

Quebec 3,400

Toronto 250,000

Vancouver 200,000

I challenge you to find an American city with similar ratios of Canadian living in them.

There are a few examples just off the top of my head. Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn have a home in North Vancouver, as does Ben Affleck. But like I mentioned, the work for people in those industries is mostly based in the U.S.
