And that was the last time we play the Jets this season! Finally. Nice game from the team today in a 5-2 win. Holmstrom with a couple of goals. Game tomorrow vs the Lightning before a day of much needed rest.

Did anyone else see that Chelios had a hat trick. That is just pure insanity!

I hope that is the way Chelios reacts every time I mention his name in trade rumors. Huge game for the vet as he stepped up with a Hattrick and an assist. Joe T had another two points to give him the league lead. Chris Gratton was huge with two goals and it was offense by committee as 7 goals were scored. The team is still tired and battered and hopefully it can stand up to the tough schedule ahead. Next up the Sens tommorow.

Penguins 7 - Rangers 5

Rangers knew coming into this game that the Rangers were due for a loss. As this is the 7th game in 7 nights (only one more to go before a much needed break) and the Rangers had a record of 5 wins and 1 loss going into this one.

On the weird note, Chris Chelios recorded a hat trick against the Rangers....who would of thought....

On a positive Note Franzen is finally ready to get back into the line-up. Gilbert Brule was sent down to AHL after seeing limited ice time.

Rangers top line has been a total disaster the last few weeks. The line of Sullivan, Samsonov, Brunette, Lydman, Brewer had a brutual game. Rangers GM knew some thing had to be done....and went out trying to trade one of them....

Immediately after the game, Rangers announced Steve Sullivan and Jussi Timonen were traded to the Predators for Markus Naslund.

MacT has made informed a few players that they will play a different position in the next game....stay tuned.....

Jets drop another game to the Thrashers. Bruno Gervais was the bright spot today as he notched 2 goals. Petr Cajanek picked up another point, his 12th point on the year. If a team looking to add some depth has some cap room, Cajanek would be a good pickup.
