I thought the game should of been over long before it was. The chances blown inside the broncos 10 the first half almost cost the Pack this one.

And I will echo Dis's sentiments that anyone who said Favre was/is too old and should of retired years ago is completely wrong. The guy has all the tools still and an intangible about him that simply cannot be found in anyone else that would replace him.

Good time to be a Pack fan but I honestly thought they would lose in the last minute there.

Bigby has to be replaced however. What a flippin idiot.

I like Tirico and Jaworski, but to me Monday Night Football is Al Michaels.

Kornheiser just made me want to puke tonight.

I'll take Madden and Michaels on Sunday and ESPN on Monday if it means I don't have to deal with Theisman anymore...

Amen. Theisman is the biggest windbag in the business.

I love Kornheiser on PTI but I cant stand him on MNF. Jaworski has actually been a decent addition to the crew I think, I love his energy and knowledge. But Kornheiser just sits there and makes corny jokes, and ads levels of insight to the game that the average fan would. On top of that, I cant stand when they invite someone up to the booth for long periods of time, its basically admitting their own crew is sub-standard dont you think?

You know what really irks me? The best colour guy the NFL has had in a while is stuck at the desk on SNF.

Funny stuff, all the new patriots fans in this city now, I love it.

Moss is amazing you can;t cover that height. Just remember the Pats use to be the dolphins whipping boy back i nthe 90's, I'm sure one day it will happen again.

Pats are an amazing team, but I just love how they get new fans every week.

Yah but both you guys don't understand it only takes one play or one slip for a an olineman where brady is hit blindsided or he gets his knee fell on akwardly and his season is done.

Look at Ronnie Brown, he was trying to make a tackle, and slip and tore his ACL. It can happen and when your up 35-0 and that happens thats a coaching mistake. I hope if happens because the patriots deserve it. Karma will hit the patsies I'd laugh if it was the other way around one year and teams kept beating up on the patsies because they use to beat up on other teams.

Stranger things have happened, to mediocore and good teams, not to teams that are in the discussion for best ever. They aren't still running up the score because they are worried that the Dolphins and Cleo Lemon are going to put up 35 points in the fourth quarter on them. The Pats are too good of a team regardless of whether Brady and Moss are in or it is Cassel handing off to fourth string FB's that they are going to be one of those teams that are going to be the losers of one of those crazy games.
Good Post here, like Miami or Jason Campbell are going to score 38 points in the 4th quarter to win against the Pats. The Pats are the best for a reason. They're just not winning with class. They will continues to win and have a good chance at 16-0 and they will continue to put up lots of points.

Why? Because they couldnt help kick the snot out of garbage teams that try to pass for football franchises in the NFL? Why shouldnt the team that's down 35-0 pull their starters in favor of getting the backups some work? If (star player from some team) is still in the game down by 35 in the fourth, what's the point of keeping him in the game?

I hate the argument that the leading team should take their foot of the gas for sportsmanship. If, at a certain point BOTH teams remove starters to prevent injury, fine. That would make more sense to me, but the losing teams always drag out the clock and try to put points on the board. Nothing makes me laugh harder then when Trent Green/Mark Bulger or some other QB on an 0-5 - 0-8 team runs the no huddle offense in the fourth quarter down by 100. Stupid.

You think I'm a Pats fan? Why, because I recognize the Pats are a good team and give them credit? Please man.

I'm actually just an NFL fan, kinda hard to be up here without Sunday ticket, unless you want to be a Seattle fan, they are the only team I truely hate in the NFL.

Good stuff.

Actually, the reason I brought that point up was because Miami fans know all about 4th Quarter blown leads, which was actually the reason I became a real fan of the NFL. Before that, I was casual at best, maybe seeing 2-3 games a year, but I started watching a lot more after that Testaverde game.

Collinsworth?

He'll get to do the NFL network games this season, and week 17 that is the final regular season Pats game.

Weird thing about Theisman was he was actually correct a lot of the time. I noticed when playing QB1 that when he would say something like, "Look for a screen here" and he was almost always correct. I still didn't care for how that team called a game (you spoke with the players - remind us again in about 45 seconds. And apparently every player is a really nice guy, although sometimes misunderstood).

Nobody should ever call Theismann the biggest windbag in the business as long as Phil Simms is calling games.

It was disappointing to see Dre Bly blow it in last night's game... nice to see he's still hurting the Lions even after being shipped out of town. Still seems surreal to me that the Lions had a shot at first in the division this late in the season. We'll see if they can keep it up, but they seem to have a lot of the intangibles in place. They're not the most talented team out there, that's for sure, but Marinelli seems to have them playing for each other. They just plain outscrap their opponents for victories.

Denver-Detroit is a very intriguing matchup for next week, even though it'll probably get no hype. The Lions will probably try to run it a lot, as they've been doing recently. I don't think they're going to want to risk the INT's with Bailey and Bly back there. With Bly, there could be a revenge factor as well. Cutler is an interesting one.... he seems to go dormant for large portions of the game, and wakes up just when required. The Lions defense has been turnover happy this year, we'll see if they can make a young QB pay for his inexperience.

The Broncos probably play better fundamental football, which is why I would give them the edge, but Detroit has yet to lose at home. Looking forward to it (while the rest of the world eagerly anticipates the Manning V Brady Bowl).

One comparison that p***** me off made on Sirius NFL radio yesterday was a Pats fan called in and said "How come no-one's talking about the Saints going for it on 4th and 2 late in the 4th quarter with a 21 point lead?" Please! The ball was on the Niners 4 yard line, the Saints knew they had won, they didnt want to kick the FG to add onto it, and they didnt want to kneel on it either as thats kind of disrespectful I think when theres still over 2 mins to play.

On that 4th & 2, Payton called a straight run up the gut by Aaron Stecker. Believe me, if Payton actually was really trying to score, he's the last guy to call a straight up the gut run play, especially when a)Deuce is out for the year, 2)Reggie's out for the game, 3)Pierre Thomas is our big N/S back now, not Stecker. Payton wouldve obviously taken the points but Im sure he knew his odds of picking up those 2 yards with Stecker probably werent very good(and it didnt work either).

Too much grey area. There will never be a correct answer unless we forget about hurting other peoples feelings and just play full out every possession.

NE is playing the correct way and hopefully they run the table so that other teams copy them. Enough of this chicken coaching where a team with the lead runs the ball 3 times for 0 yards, punts and then plays a prevent defense that prevents them from winning.

I haven't read TMQB this week but I'm sure Easterbrook has something in there again about the Patriots running up the score and playing like big jerks. He's got a problem with teams that pile on.

I think a big time college football team running up the score against a powder puff rival is poor sportsmanship. There is clearly a difference (usually, this year's odd results notwithstanding) between BCS teams and a lot of the opponents they schedule from Division II.

In the NFL, however, every team is on even footing. Parity is supposed to be the name of the game. I enjoy watching a team play hard on every down and execute for four full quarters. To me, there's nothing more boring than watching most teams in four down football play out a fourth quarter where the result has already been decided. Run up the middle. Let the clock wind down. Run up the middle. Let the clock wind down. Run up the middle. Let the clock wind down. Punt. Bring out the prevent defence. Boring.
