I think I will watch the game next weekend. Don't really care who wins, one way or the other, but it will be a good game. I tend to think that Indy has a better defense and it's at home so that should give them a slight edge IMO.

Agreed that Indy should get the edge. I just really hope that NE destroys Indy because I really really really hate Peyton Manning.
Also Indy defence hasnt faced a first string QB in at least 2 weeks. The only thing I wonder about is they looked average in the first quater against Carolina, and Carolina had a QB with one foot in the grave and were awfully close to giving up an INT TD if it wasnt for a greasy tip ball.

Last week against Garrard they dominated the 1st half he played in. This was a Jags team that still managed without Garrard to win in Tampa yesterday. Both the Pats and Colts have gone two weeks playing against brutal QB's, Cleo Lemon and Jason Campell are both god awful
They had a bad first quarter and still ended up blowing out a div. leader. That being said, they can't take a quarter let alone a play off if they wanna beat the Pats.

Haha. Nice. I love Mannings ads. He has no shame. Manning to advertisements is like Samuel L. Jackson to movies... he'll do anything.
I think this is going to be a tremendous game and having it in Indy helps the Colts. But I dont know if I buy into the Indy defense yet. They have never faced an offense like New England's (really, no one has) but New England has faced Indy's offense several times, often coming out the victor.
I think New England has a better offense, a better defense and a better coach. But, Indy has Manning who can be spectacular. If Harrison's is healthy, that will be a big boost too.
New England 41 - Indy 28.

New England does play in very weak division this season as well. I'm not saying their not a great football team. But who can even give them a challenging game in that division? Plenty of other teams could pound the Dolphins, Jets, or Bills into the ground if they had the chance.

Yeah, but no one else in the NFL has pounded down the Red Skins and that defence to the tune of 52-7, or went into Dallas and whipped the Cowboys 48-27 or whatever it was. The Pats mayve look to have had an easier schedule, but when they have had to play a challenging team they have met the challenge.
It is tough to gauge though until they meet up head to head. Both teams look better with each passing week. I would prefer a Colts win, but I think the Pats will win by 17 or more. IMO they're offence can match or beat the Colts and their defence when motivated is a dominating unit. I mean their net points of 204 is more than all but 2 other offences have for total points scored. Somehow during the Pats bye week I imagine they'll just not show us a real game and give us a Pats 3 hour highlight package instead though.

They are a great team no doubt. Breezing through the regular season will help in the playoffs too. Dick Vermeil said that having the easy schedule the year the Rams won the Super Bowl made it easier for the Rams in the playoffs. The team isn't as worn down as your opponents who had to fight to make the playoffs.
I don't have the numbers in front of me. But I remember reading that the easiest schedule in NFL history (based on opponents winning percentage) was the 1972 Dolphins. If the Pats do go undefeated, it will be interesting to see what their strength of schedule will be considering the other three teams in their division may only combine for 5 wins total.

It almost takes the fun out of watching Pats games because they are so lopsided.
I'm just cheering for anyone to knock them off at this point.

Did a little research. The 1972 Dolphins opponents had a combined winning percentage of 0.367. They only faced two teams with winning records during the regular season. The 8-6 Kansas City Chiefs and the 8-6 New York Giants. In their own division the Jets were 7-7, the Bills were 4-9, the Baltimore Colts were 5-9, and the Patriots were 3-11. Other AFC teams they faced. Chargers at 5-9, and the Houston Oilers at 1-13. In the NFC they faced the Rams at 4-9, and the Vikings at 7-7. Pretty easy schedule.

Great commercial, as all of his are. The guy has grown on me big time since he came into the league. His SNL stuff was gold!

Doesn't matter the schedule they still did it? How many times do you see terrible teams beat good teams? On any given Sunday anyone can win
Right now the Dolphins are the only unbeaten team, but guess what I'm pretty sure the Pats will run the table this year.

People (Steve Young and Randall Godfrey) need to stop whining about the Pats.
You want to stop getting crushed by the Pats? Play harder. There is no such thing as a win which is "in the bag" and stranger things have happened than a team blowing a huge lead in the 4th Quarter.

Yes there is, don't disrespect the other team, they will only play harder next time. How smart will Bill look if Brady gets hurt when the Patsies are leading 35-0.

I love it when they run it up. Complete dominance. I dont think you can take anything for granted in this league. A 35 point lead in the 4th quarter? Let Brady go out there and get one more then pack him in for the rest of the day.
The Colts dont run it up, but that's their business, hopefully they dont get bit one of these games because they took their foot off the gas too early.

Good, maybe a team like the Dolphins will show up to the game next time and make it entertaining.
Teams have lost big leads before, and they will lose them again. Maybe some corners will learn something from playing the Pats... like perhaps trying to look for the ball when they have Randy Moss in Double/Triple coverage and try to make a play on it.

Yeah, but if I'm playing defence....I'm a dirty jerk myself and when I'm getting embarassed....I'm looking for revenge in some petty way. If I get the chance, I'm going to go after Brady late after the play and try to separate his shoulder than look at Bellichick and laugh. Eventually someone is going to snap.
I understand that teams need to show up and play 60 minutes. If they prepare better, than maybe they're not down 45-0 at the end of the third quarter. But one week a team will keep trying to fight back late in the game and a key piece will suffer a needless injury.

That's a risk that you have to take. But when a team is beating say... Miami... by 35 in the 3rd quarter, I dont want to see scrubs in there on mop up duty and see a bunch of punts. If the game isnt going to be close, go for the jugular. Score so many points that the other team doesnt want to play football anymore.
That's the most entertainment you can get from a blowout.

I might be worried if the opposition was generating anything resembling a pass rush - only 7 sacks on Brady all season. Pretty good. Given the way NFL discipline has been handled this season under Goddell, for some no-namer to take out Brady would be career suicide for said player.
Personally? I want to see records broken and smashed, and I want to see the best player, be the best he can be, not rot on the bench for half the game.

What if it's a guy like Uminyora in week 15? They've been tough in terms of off field conduct or fining guys. But I don't think I've seen anyone suspeded for a late hit yet.

Amen. Complete domination. The offensive line is so good on New England and Brady is smart enough to get rid of the ball early, his risk is minimalized. I agree that there can be a breakdown in protection and he could get hurt, but those athletes are out there for my entertainment... I dont like the courtesy of putting in the plugs for mop up.
