Totally. I dont think theres a team that comes close to the Cowboys in the NFC(I still have my doubts about the Giants. I think its going to be their usual up/down season like the last couple years and theyll start to slip again soon). I still cant believe how Chicago, New Orleans and Philly have all slipped. I agree the Cowboys are below NE/Indy level(perhaps more on level with Pittsburgh), but being in the NFC they should still get their shot at a ring this February, I really dont see who's going to stop them in this conference.

Agreed that the Cowboys are the favorite to win the NFC. I wouldn't count Chicago out yet. They're 3-4 in a weak conference and could still take a wildcard spot or even the division. And in 1 championship game you never know what can happen.. It wasn't that long ago that the Patriots were 14 point underdogs to the Rams in the Super Bowl.

And I need WR's bad so I'm considering using Henry as trade bait. When do you think his looming suspension would kick in? I just have a feeling his stock is going to start dropping pretty quickly and its the highest its going to be right now. Or am I OTL and he's going to be a huge part of the offence the rest of the year?
I think he's gone in a few weeks, but you never know with the legal proceedings. I would definitely keep Westbrook over him.

Corey Simon retires. I actually met the guy once and he couldn't have been any nicer. It's really too bad when a disease cuts a great football career short.

It has worked great hasn't it. He has quit drinking all together. Losing 40 pounds as well. What are the chances that he remains a Chief after this season. He has said in the past that he loves the City, Organization and fans. But hates Carl Peterson because he wasn't offered a contract after the end of last season (rightfully so, why invest big money in a guy who is a few drinks away from getting a one year suspension?).

Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga said that he'd listen to trade offers if Zach Thomas or Jason Taylor want out of Miami.

I guess when it's time to rebuild, so sense in half-a$$ing it. Both could fetch some draft picks - especially Taylor who could get a package of picks, possibly including a late first rounder.

Oh I doubt they could get more than about a 3 or 4 for Taylor, he's not a spring chicken anymore.

Hard to blame them for wanting to move on at this point though. It's been awhile since you could see a team at this point of the year evolve into a winless team. It would be ironic if NE runs the table, in the same year that the last team to do it went 0-16.

I wasn't really taking a shot at him, just showing that DUI's don't HAVE to be the end of the world for NFLers. Of course, we're talking about a league that allows Leonard Little to play after he killed somebody with his car, but that's another conversation.

As for Allen, I think he'll wind up re-signing in KC. If he doesn't, he'll be one of the top free agents this coming off season.

He should start by demoting Cam to offenseive co-ordinator. And getting the big chin out of retirement to run this team. Plus Randy Mueller should have been fired right after the draft.

We got a #2 for Chris Chambers, we'll get a #2 plus a late pick for Taylor.

By the way I'm sure Taylor will end up in NE, most of Miamis players do.

I was wondering why the crowd was singing "God Save the Queen" before a game between two American teams in the Giants/Dolphins game.

Then I remembered that they were playing in London, England.

It would be nice if Eli could hit triple digit passing yards sometime today. I started him over Cutler specifically because I thought he and Plaxico would have a field day against the Dolphins.

The guy needs to look at the back of his jersey and play like a Manning!

Chambers is about 5 years younger and more importantly he went to a playoff team that was in desparate need for a WR at the deadline.

All else being equal Chambers is worth more, and piled on top of that Miami took advantage of a team in need.

Well the funny thing is Miami got a sceond for chambers, and Oakland got a 4th for Moss. So you never know. I doubt Miami trades for less than a second.

His overthrows have been awful, that being said. Miami actually had good coverage on the long passes.

Well the offense didn't really get anything going in that 1st half. To be still up 10-7 at the half with the half that we had, i'll take it! We will need to play a lot better in the 2nd half to come out with a win and be 7-0. GO COLTS!

I doubt they move him period but we will see. The radiers are idiots, so I don't know if that is a good proxy either. well, maybe the Raiders will give a #1 for Taylor

In the end it probably works out better for Allen that he might have to sign after this season, especially if he keeps playing like he has. He'll be inline for a much nicer contract. And I think an NFL team will be more likely to committ big money to a guy who's sober. Than again, if he plays like he has this season he's worth the dollars.
