And I'll be looking to make wide spread changes as soon as I do this rules quiz. Sorry I haven't been more active, we had a crazy week at work and I fell ill yesterday with layngitis. It means I can't talk, and I'm in sales for a living so I'm really not dealing well with it. Hopefully I have more energy tomorrow to get things started but if you're looking at players...PM me.

Wow, 50 shots against!!?? LOL
On the bright side, we allowed 50 shots on goal and only fired 17 at Quebec and still only lost by a goal.
4-game streak snapped. Next up are the Lightning tomorrow in Long Island.
EDIT: To add that Volchenkov took out Saku in the 1st who is now gonna be out for a month LOL.

Thrashers get a point in a 2-2 tie vs Ducks. 6-1-1 in our last 8. Things starting to come around for Atlanta slowly after that 0-2-1 start. Will need a better effort tomorrow vs a good Ducks team in the rematch. Datsyuk who missed the last 2 games with an injury will be back tomorrow too.

Wow...was not expecting this. Pens explode for 8 goals against a very good Habs team. Joe Thornton was huge with 4 helpers as the Pens finally show a glimmer of what was expected of them all season. This is the first time that the Pens have strung together two straight wins. Things will not get any easier tomorrow as we know the Habs will be out for revenge. Pens were dealt a huge loss as best defenseman and the most consistent performer of date Andrei Markov was carved up by a vicious high stick from Brad Isbister which landed the Hab a 5 game suspension and put Markov on the shelf for 3 weeks.

Things have boiled over with regards to my feelings about Elias. He is offically on the block. The 2 times that line got scored on by Winchester, Paille and Sharp today were unacceptable. He has just been totally ineffective this season, only 1 goal and 4 assists. I really need a center in return, because that's where I'm playing him. The only other centers I have are 74-75 type guys who shouldn't center the top line.

Nashville runs their streak to 4
Nashville, TN (AP) - The Nashville Predators kept their streak alive Friday night with a win against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks. In a scheduling quirk this is the first of four straigh games against the 'Hawks.
Although the Blackhawks outshot the Predators 24-21 they could only beat Tomas Vokoun twice. The Predataors came out flying and had a 4-0 lead 2:20 into the second period.
Marc Savard had a two goal night, as did Shane Doan. Doan was ejected from the game after this second goal on a call that was not well received by the knowledgeable fans in Nashville.
The two teams meet again now in Chicago tomorrow night, where the Predators look for their fifth straight victory.

Flyers 3 Hurricanes 2
Coming off a very disappointing loss the previous night the Flyers managed to squeak out a 3-2 win against a very game Hurricanes team. After some harsh criticism from GM moon the top line finally came through with 2 goals from Jason Blake and two assists for Temmu. Mike Modano left the game early with an injury which put a lot more pressure down the middle for the Flyers who were already dealing with an injury to Andy Mcdonald. Newly recalled Jason Krog filled in admirally though posting a +1 and playing 13 minutes of ice time. Peter Schaefer also came up big for the Flyers as Mike Richards took 14 minutes in penalties to further handcuff the teams options at center. Luckily for the Flyers it appears that Modano will be healthy for next game and Hasek should be ready in the next couple of days.
Farm Report:
The Phantoms ran into a hot goalie tonight as they were shutout 8-0 by the Albany Riverats. Used to scoring in double digits, to not score once was very frustrating. Hopefully for the fans in Philly this is just a little hitch and not signs of the wheels coming off the steamroller that is the Phantoms.

Leafs beat Wings in Toronto, 7-4.
Nice win for the Leafs. We tried to give some guys a break in the midst of all the games we're playing right now so it's nice to do that and get 2 points at the same time.
Most importantly, the PP was 3 for 8 and finally showed some life. We outshot the Wings by a decent margin which was important, because Leclaire wasn't that good and a few more shots against might have changed the game. Fisher and Avery were two both given increased ice time tonight and both played well.
Leafs are off to a decent start... This makes it 4 wins in 5 games, and aside from a bad 3 game stretch when we had all those injuries on D, we've been pretty solid.

Turco gets yanked yet again. The defence has been brutal so far this season. The scoring has been very balanced between the top two lines. I cant decide which line to call #1. Its the third line that is killing this team. Vermette, Christensen and Antropov are pretty much useless players in the sim. Almost need to double shift the top two lines to have any chance. 7 points between the three of them on the year.

Rangers 5 - Jets 3
Well the Rangers played abit better, putting allot of shots on Net but the Jets kept battling keeping the score close. The team is starting to improve little by little.
Rangers have a crap load of games in a row and suffering an injury right away is not great news.

The Bruins keep on bringing it with another win against the Sabres. Combined goals over the 2 games? Bruins 15 - Sabres 4.
With Hatcher injured and Souray still hurting we had to change up the D a bit. Christoph Shubert was brought back to D. Unfortunatly, Gauthier got injured in the game. Unreal. We are very lucky to have depth at D. The D going into the game tomorrow against the Leafs looks like:
Gonchar - McLaren
Schubert - Kukkonen
Scuderi - McGillis
Hatcher - injured
Souray - injured
Gauthier - injured
Everyone's favorite WDF Glen Metropolit had another 2 points. He's now tied for second in the league with Kozlov, Thornton, Weight and fellow Bruin Curtis Brown. He is currently leading all Left Wings in points lol:

well the streak is over at 6, it was good while it lasted. We still have 2 more games left in a row vs the AVS and we will be looking for some revenge.

Sharks can't get it done against the Canucks. Once again we gave up too many PP opportunities and a couple goals on them. Budaj played poor for the first time this year but I'm not gonna hold anything against him for one bad game out of ten. He's still at 100% condition so he's expected to get the start again next game.
Positives to come out of this are Tucker potting a goal and an assist to maintain his team leading 12 points, but if Erat can keep up his pace since being moved to center he'll likely pass Tucker in a few games. Also, Toivonen replaced Budaj at the begginning of the 3rd period and stopped all 11 shots he faced.

Ha ha stupid Wild. I figured that we couldnt lose forever and that eventually we'd catch a break or two.
PP was solid today collecting three goals. Doug Murray with his second goal in as many games and Jerred Smithson seems to be enjoying his added ice time in the last two games collecting three goals. Joe Pavelski breaks out with a goal and 2 assists as well.
