Very impressive win today over the Hawks by a score of 6-1 and outshooting them 33-17. I really like that we aren't giving up many shots this year.

Wings out shoot the Bruins 40-35 but still get rocked 7-2. Good showing from the first and third lines today. Peltonen had a goal and two assists, that brings him up to 10 points in the first 11 games.
With Hatcher out we had to put a still hurting Souray back into the line up. Thankfully he didnt get hurt again and even managed a point. He now has six points in three games. That actually puts him damn close to being in the top ten for D.
Next up is a game tomorrow against the Sabres, a team was roasted 10-2 not too long ago.

The Predators won another against the Jets...but I can't help but wonder how bad we'll look against the league elite.

Win one, lose on...the mediocrity continues in Denver.

Panthers Too Much - Flyers Too Much Crap
After two solid wins the Flyers come crashing back to earth with a 4-2 loss at home to the Florida Panthers. Despite putting 39 shots on net the highpowered Flyers offense only managed to score 2 goals, both coming from Brian Gionta. With Hasek hurt Fredrik Norrena got the call and didn’t do much to impress. The PP was equally as bad going 1 for 8. However, at least the PK seems to be picking it up as of late.
GM moon:
“With the guys we have upfront there is no reason why we can’t score more than two goals on 39 shots. Add in the offensive abilities of our defenseman and the PP struggles baffle me even more. There are too many guys who seem content on resting on their past glories and not willing to put the effort required to win. This team has the talent to be competing for the top spots in the East and instead we are battling for last place in the conference.”
Crappy players, crappy forwards, crappy defensemen, crappy goalies and crappy coaching. The only aspect of this team that is not crap is their brilliant and handsome GM. Even the fans have been underwhelming so far this year. Everyone will have to turn it around if the Flyers expect to do anythng worthwhile this season.
It was reported that coach Nolan decided not to bag skate the guys after the game because it only result in further lazy play from the tomorrow night when Carolina comes to town.
Farm Report:
Even the mighty Phantoms, who have been a much needed bright spot far this season, had an off night. Chris Holt thought for sure the four goals allowed would be sufficient for the Phantoms to win with, but alas the scorers did not come to play for the Phantoms as well.

Well kind of a lucky win for the Leafs considering I didn't send lines in. Games were simmed early today huh?
I did send lines in yesterday, only to see the Avs beat the Leafs 3-2. Everyone played alright, but no one played great and the PP failed again. Thus, a close one goal loss.
Tonight we beat the Sabres 6-2. Lundqvist with his 4th solid game in a row, although I have to admit he would have gotten the night off had I been able to send lines in. Offensive outburst in the 3rd period put the game out of reach.

Isles continue their hot streak with a 3-1 victory over the slumping Vancouver Canucks.
Jagr and Demitra each with a pair of assists, while Semin continues his presence on the score sheet since becoming an Islander, scoring in the second period.
The big story though, was rugged stay-at-home defenseman Chris Phillips who finished the night with a pair of markers.
Apologies to the league for not submitting my lines. Being out in the east, I was asleep before last night's game scores were posted (and subsequently, roster files being updated) and I have no access to the editor at work.

Pens 4 Sharks 1
Well who would have thought after all the acquisitions I brought in over the last little while that it would be Marcel Goc emerging as the hero. Goc was all over the ice during the first 2 periods so coach Lindy Ruff decided to reward him with some PP time and he took advantage of it potting 2 3rd period markers with the man up. Ales Hemsky was also brilliant on the night as he had a goal and two helpers. Kari Lehtonen was solid in his first game as a Pen making 21 saves for the win. Special teams were huge for the Pens for a change as the PP went 3-7 and the kill was a perfect 4-4.

Jets drop another game though this game we were much better. Lots of shots just no production. After that first game, Aebischer has been fairly good for us.
I also apologize for submitting lines. I totally forgot this morning and pm'd Nooob but of course he didn't do it either.

Nice win for the Panthers
Our 1st line did not play that well but it was out 2nd and 4th lines that pulled up the slack.
We are giving up toooooo many shots on NET but Manny has been great for us and was rewarded with the 1st star.
We are still worried about out lack of depth on the LW.
Up next for the Panthers is Ottawa.

Tough loss for the Ducks, the 1st line got outplayed badly and needs to improve. Jackets were bound to win one game eventually and it had to be against us with aubin in net for them lol.

Blues win again!!!
The Blues fought back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Canes 5-4. Kessel and Commodore lead the way with a goal and an assist each, and Patrick Eaves scores the game winner.
A tad bit concerned with Emery's play as he has allowed 15 goals in the last 4 games. I guess as long as we score more then the other guys it isn't a huge issue...yet
