Default Godzilla is here!

So at the Tokyo motor show, Nissan has finally released the 2009 Nissan GT-R.

Edmunds review is here: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...leId=123067#26

The 2009 Nissan GT-R isn't just entering the performance car market; it's detonating it.

Bulging with 473 horsepower from a twin-turbocharged V6, supported by an advanced rear-mounted transaxle, fortified by all-wheel drive and crafted around a high-tech chassis, the GT-R is built to shatter expectations, set new standards and, generally speaking, kick ass.
And a quick little tidbit about how the GT-R faired on the Nuremberg track in Germany, compared to other cars. What one could consider super cars such as the Koenenzagg CCX, Zonda ant the Porsche GT 2.

I can't imagine what this thing will do once the Tuners get a hold of it. 600HP? Gee-zus!

Better yet, I'd like to see what the Stig can do with it.

Well tuners can get the R34 engine (RB26DETT) up to and over 1000hp.
I remember reading that this engine (VR38DETT) isn't as tuner friendly, but still it would be very interesting to see what they come up with.

Jeremy Clarkson loved the R34 when he drove a tuned version on top gear many moons ago. I can't wait for the film they do with this.

Yes, it's the Skyline GT-R. But it isn't badged as a Skyline anymore. Plus it will be sold world wide for the first time in the GT-R's history.

A Skyline version has been available in the NA badged as Inifiniti G35.

For those that know the Skyline trim levels.. the G35 is essentially the same as the GTS-T in the R32 - R34 versions.
Although with out the T (turbo) part.

Bah, GM was able to get their ECOTEC (bored to 2.4L I believe) up over 1000hp. It doesn't mean much, it's what it takes to get there. If it's like the 335 and you can throw in a $2000 chip and see massive power gains, then wow!
