Weird game for the Bruins. We out shot the Flyers 33-27 but couldnt get one past Hasek. So, at 18:31 of the third period Glen Metropolit couldnt take it anymore and injured Hasek's foot. It was so impressive that he actually won third star of the game.
Power Play Conversions
BRUINS 0 for 2
FLYERS 0 for 4
Game Stars
1 - Dominic Hasek (FLY)
2 - Chris Pronger (FLY)
3 - Glen Metropolit (BRU)

The Predators managed an OT win against the Jackets in the first of a home and home. The OT marker came courtesy of Sam Pahlsson and was also a shorty.
The big news here though is that Tomas Vokoun only let one goal in! Could it be that the trade today shook some players up and they are worried about heading out of town? Maybe it was an inside job by Jarrko Ruutu? Tune in tomorrow night and find out if the Preds can keep the streak alive!

Well this is the third game in a row that my lines havent gone though. Coincidence?...I think not! Because its our third win in a row. Im going to continue to send a fake file in before each game. And the first time we have won a game against the Wild since forever. Turco, Morris and Antropov were all suppose to be benched but some how all factored into the win! And now they actually seem to be gaining some endurance back. Despite all kinds of rumours Mark Recchi continues to be the hottest wing of late.

Big win for the Ducks, we really didn't want to lose back to back to the Nords and we thought it could easily happen considering the 2nd game was in Quebec. Roberts finally paid dividends with a couple points.

Thats cause you keep dressing Comrie.
Actually there were 4 teams that dressed injured guys today. Please be careful when making your lines. Set your roster first THAN set your lines. Its a bit of a pain when people's lines dont work.

Isles with a solid game to sweep the home-and-home against the Rangers.
Jagrr, who's been solid but not amazing, turned it on with the hat trick, while Semin continues to impress since coming over from Minnesota with an assist. Semin now has 3 points in his first 2 games as an Islander.
Solid play all around with the team limiting the Rangers to 21 shots while firing 29 at the Rangers, ushering Gerber from the net in the third.
WTF is with Draper though? Second injury of the year although this time he's not out for as long... what a wimp.

Has to be something wrong. Because the gm editor wont let me dress comrie so im not sure how he shows up in my lineup. Maybe I need to delete the file. In any case is that you doing my lines for me? Its worked out great so far but im not sure i want you to do it for the next game.

Amazing Aebischer just not enough tonight.
The crappiest player of the week came through with another huge game as he made 40 saves but unfortunately the Jets fall 3-2 to the Thrashers who the Jets always seem to play.

I assume I am one of them. That's wierd though bc I deleted the file to make sure this wasn't an issue and then set my roster and then my lines as well to make sure that wasn't an issue. Weird. I'll go back and check my editor again.
As far as the game goes, Thrashers dominate the Jets in the game outshooting them 43-19 and win 3-2. Improve to 4-1-0 vs them this season.

Good win by the Stars! Caron starts his first game, assists on the first 2 goals and pitches a shutout!! The Arnason-White-Samuelsson line got the first 2 goals of the game. Moreau finished it off with 2 goals in the 3rd period.
Caron definitely earned another game tomorrow.
On the downside, Shawn Bates got hurt in the game and is day to day. Definitely not playing tomorrow.
Also, important problem. There are two Ryan Duncan's and two Erik Condra's on my minor league team.

The Flyers continued the solid play of late and were able beat the high flying Boston Bruins. Hasek finally showed why he is considered one of the best goalies of his generation and shut down the Bruins attack, even the mighty Glen Metropolit was unable to do any damage on the score sheet. However, the dirty little snake did manage to injury Dominic and force him to leave the game with a viscious shot to his foot. You would think with all the padding those skates have Dominic would be fine, but playing through any sort of pain or discomfort is not really his strong suit. Dominic will be monitored over the next few days to see how his “injury” heals.
Farm Report:
After a shut-out defeat last time out the Phantoms finally regained their form and hammered the Providence Bruins 14-3. As with most Phantom’s wins too many guys had great games to single anyone out.
The Flyers get a day off and then take to the ice on Thursday to host the mighty Florida Panthers. The Flyers know they wil have to be ready for the Panthers and to watch out for any tricks from that sneaky GM of theirs, but they feel confident that in their play of late and look forward to entertaining the home fans win another hard fought win.

‘Canes fall short as Dany Heatley’s lone goal isn’t enough to lift Carolina past the Ottawa Senators. Once again John Grahame got the start, but although his play of late shows signs of where it needs to be, Grahame still found himself in the loss column as the netminder recorded his fifth loss of the season. The struggling Grahame has become the whipping boy for local fans as backup Craig Anderson is 2-0 as a starter sporting a 1.90 GGA.
“Craig has been seeing the puck amazingly, I don’t know what it is for some reason I’m fighting the puck more the usual” commented the dejected netminder responding to questions from media on whether Coach Sutter would start the red hot Anderson tomorrow night against the visiting Flames. When Coach Sutter met with local writers Sutter was quick to the point about who he plan on starting “To be quite honest, we have a good stretch of games coming up and both guys will have to at the their top of their game”.
When asked if the Hurricanes had appealed the Nordstrom suspension Sutter also replied “Mike’s got a big head, to be perfectly honest, Nords has to be cautious of getting his elbows up on that play. We addressed it in the pregame, he was here, we’re fully away of the advantages of having a boblehead in the lineup and how it handcuffs the defenders.

Well at least we're figuring out how to stay even through the first 60 minutes here. Eventually I think we will win a game. I mean you can't play 86 games and not get one fricken win right?

Well the streak had to end sometime. After 5 straight wins, some of which weren't deserved, the Blues finally tasted defeat.
Props to Toskala for stopping 38 of 39 shots. On the plus side we took out Sundin...so screw you Yotes for ending the streak

A lucky point taken by the Kings tonight after a dismal first period. A nice performance from Tim Thomas to keep the Kings in the game and dramatic late heroics from "Mad Max" Talbot to equalize the game and send it into overtime. Kings trudge on with 5 games in 5 nights. Kings take the show on the road with a trip to the desert to play the dogs tomorrow night.
