Patrick Crayton and Tony Gonzalez are my fantasy MVPs so far. On a week where Manning was on a bye and my starting QB was Culpepper, I still managed 109 pts.

And the 5 teams they have beaten are a combined 13-14 on the season. The Colts are a good team, but no one is even close to NE IMO.
Im just saying that right now I think we are witnessing perhaps the single best offense in NFL history....and I mean ever. What NE is doing and the level they are playing at is something I never recall seeing quite the way it is unfolding. All this with missing starters every week since the start of the season.
The Cowboys had not lost a game and were at home as well...and they lose by 21.

Didnt we see this last year in the playoffs? Seems to me that Indy won that one.
this year will be a different story however.

Well lets face it New Englands competition hasn't been so scheissen hot either....
Buffalo 1-4
NYJ 1-5
Cle 3-3
Cin 1-4
Dal 5-1
Combined those teams are 12-17 and Factor in that Cleveland, the Jets, and Cowboys have won against Miami thats 3 gimme wins plus Dallas getting to beat up on St.Louis too.
I think the Pats are the better team because I think their defence is a bit better than Indy's. But I'm not so sure the Pats are that heads and shoulders above the Colts.

And NE has done most of their damage without a ground game. I have Maroney on one of my FF teams and he hasn't done anything (and has been injured for a few weeks). With that offensive line giving Brady time, receivers that get separation and YAC, and Brady who just seems to process everything so quickly, they have been crazy good.
I can see Belichek just waiting for a team to start cheating against the pass so he can punish them with a ground game. Either that or he is saving his best ground game for the playoffs. Winning teams always seen to have another facet of the game they pull out when it is most important.

How can you even make that argument when the Pats just faced there first team to have a record over .500 this year!!
Injurys for the Pats? Last week the Colts were missing Addai, Harrison, Sanders, two starting linebackers, just to name a few. They've been just as banged up as the Pats have all year.
The Patriots have been beyond impressive so far this year, and right now are a little bit above the Colts. They also play in the worst divisons while the Colts play in one of the toughest. The Colts still have beat the Patriots the last 3 times they've played, are still defending super bowl champs and have a defense that is miles ahead of last years defense, which was still good enough to win the AFC South.

The Pats had Harrison for the first time all year yesterday. They havent had Seymour all year. Maroney has missed 3 games.
Whats your point?

Actually I would say light years ahead....of everyone.

OK...so what? Im talking about what is happening THIS year. If they are better than NE...they will beat them and we will see that when it happens. I am merely suggesting I think that what NE has ALREADY done this year is about the most impressive 6 games of football in a row ever played by an offense.

Brady has never had recievers like this year, Tranny. Moss and Stallworth, throw in gems like Welker, Watson is good for a few good ones. I'm looking forward to Nov 4.

Congrats are in order for Tony Gonzales who set the new NFL record for TD's catches by a tight end. In doing so, he broke the record of a first ballot HOFer (IMO). I think that says something about Tony's chances of making the hall too.
Great player. Kansas City should be proud.

Bull. Three of those teams were playoff teams last year. When the schedule came out, you all would have said NE had one of the toughest scheds in the NFL. You left out SD (one of the best teams in the AFC). DAL might be the best team in the NFC. CLE could be a playoff team this year.
Pats are full marks.

Trust me I know that, but I tell you what history means nothing right now. The dolphins always had a good defence to give brady fits. I don't see it now.

Just like above, if your going to praise the Pats for winning with injurys, the Colts have had to endure just as many.

Only 2 undefeated teams in the league. Right now I'd say it's fair to say there overall the better team, but there's no way there light years ahead of the Colts.
Whats that have to do with anything that the Pats have done this year so far?
They've had the luxury of playing the god awful Bills and Jets while the Colts have had to go on the road against the Titans and Texans.

I just feel that being the defending champs, being the only other undefeated team in the league should garner some actual respect

It would've been great had Brady always had these weapons as Peyton would have someone who could actually come close to competing with his numbers season after season. If Brady had always had this talented of an offense, his numbers would be hand in hand with Peytons. That being said, if Peyton had a top 10 defense every year he'd probablly have another ring on his finger too.

No it doesn't...im not comparing the two teams.....you are. All I said in response to another claim that said Indy compares to NE is that Dallas did as well and they were clobbered by 21 at home.

Im praising the offense as one of the most impressive ever seen....that could be better with the return of Maroney and a defense that hasnt played at full strength YET. What part of this do you want to dispute?

Again...so what?? Are you trying to diminish what NE has accomplished this season thus far or are you trying to be a biased fan trying to defend your team? Im a fan of niether...im merely stating what NE has done this season is unprecedented that I can recall. What does that have to do with Indy exactly?

Ive stated already they are a good team. I dont think they are the best by any means because i dont think anyone comes close to NE.
So one more time...whats that got to do with NE?

Sure they are, they run up the score every week on inferior teams. They'll go 16-0 and thats impressive. But I don't think they'll beat the Colts by no 17 points.

So now Dallas is inferior?
In that case (and is my entire point) who isnt inferior? The Colts?
The Colts get a chance to make that case.....we will see.

Every team in the NFL is inferior to the Pats. Who else are they going to play?

Well for starters....they could stop cheating.
And yes I admit the rest of the NFL is inferior to the Pats and Colts (Pats being better than Indy is). But hey people have been allowed to have false hopes and beliefs for years, and mine is that someone will lambaste the Pats in the playoffs and take their Superbowl away from them.

Dallas looks good but how about the three other teams they have played?
Buffalo 1-4
NYJ 1-5
Cin 1-4
They sure look like power houses to me......... As Syl mentioned New England is simply running up the scores. There is other solid teams in the league Colts and Steelers come to mind.
