4 shot at Cleveland school

A 14-year-old student shot four people before fatally turning a gun on himself after a rampage inside a Cleveland high school, police and city officials said at an afternoon press conference.

The student gunman, who was not supposed to be in school today, shot himself after opening fire shortly after 1 p.m. EDT on the fourth floor of SuccessTech Academy, a nontraditional public school in the city's downtown area.

Jackson identified the shooting victims as two adult males and two teenage males. A 42-year-old was shot in the chest and a 57-year-old was shot in the back. A 17-year-old student was shot in the elbow. The three were taken to the Metro Health Hospital. The two adults are in stable condition, while the teen was treated and released.

A 14-year-old male was shot in the side and transported to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, where he was in stable condition, Jackson said. A 14-year-old female student injured her knee trying to flee from the shooter.

Honestly, how can this kind of stuff surprise anyone? The only thing surprising is that nobody (who deserved to die) was killed.

Funny you should say that, rockstar. I'm no longer surprised when I hear this kind of news. But I sure as hell can remember exactly where I was when I heard about Columbine.
