Wow. I was impressed with how we blew out the Bucs today! I thought with 5 injured starters not playing that it would be alot closer. No Harrison, no Addai but we still played pretty good. Nice to see former CFL'er Kenton Keith get 2 rushing TD's for us and get over 100 yards for the day. 5-0, WOOOOOOOO!

Well my guess is that some of that can be attributed to Herm and Solari's conservative play calling. Also being down for pretty much the entire game doesn't help either. And lets face it the O-Line isn't the unit that he ran behind the last couple years. Herm and his staff simply have to come out with a better plan to start the game as the Chiefs routinely find themselves down 10-0 or 14-0 every game. I suspect that sometime with in the next couple weeks here they will move to make Brody Croyle their starting QB and move forward.

No Shields and no Roaf and no respect for a deep ball probably have something to do with LJ getting 12 yards

The thing is that the Chiefs line isn't a bad pass blocking unit, and they actually have a guy in Bowe who can make plays down the field now. Plus Tony Gonzalez is still a good receiving tight end. I think they have to start incorporating a bit more field stretching earlier on in the game to make teams stop keying on the run. Back with the Saunders/Vermeil offence, the Chiefs did have an element of unpredictability as to what they were going to do. Right now any Defensive co-ordinator cand stack 8 guys in the box and key on the Cheifs running game for the first 25 minutes of the game and not be too worried about the Chiefs looking down field.

The Chiefs did strech the field early. The first drive was all through the air. Anytime they handed the ball to LJ (I'm going from memory here) which seemed like only single digit carries. He was stopped dead in his tracks. The Jags had the Chiefs run game number today.

Yea, I think Bowe is great, loved watching him play at LSU, but someone has to get him the ball, the lack of respect has nothing to do with the wideout.

And agree with everything else, nothing there that makes defenses streatch, so they fill the box and they don't have their all pro road graders anymore.

They are showing interviews with the Houston Dlineman who's knee probably ended Green's career, and I can see the media line up all week looking to roast the guy.

I'm a past defensive player and past defensive coach so I'm biased here, but Trent green laid a dirty hit down on that guy. It's awful that he got hurt, but that lineman has all the right in the world to be pi$$ed at him.

I'm not positive but I believe chops are only allowed beween the tackles and up to 5 yards off the line ... and can't be engaged with anyone else. I only saw the play live and then a reply or 2, but I believe they were about 10 to 15 behind the line. Regardless there is a million ways you get a penalty for hitting a QB, I don't need to see QB's diving at players knees when they aren't looking. I hope Trent recovers, and I hope they leave that poor dlineman alone.

Well the Houston D-Lineman could go about things in a bit classier manner than he has. IMO, he is not the least bit responsible for Green's injury...that's 100% on Trent Green. Green also was to low on that play and the guy has a right to be ticked, and shouldn't feel the least bit bad that he injured Green on the play. But doesn't mean he should still be shooting his mouth off like that and needed to do the taunting he did on the field. God might hate stupid plays, but karma hates an arrogant jerk.

ya after the game he should have showered got in his car and go home. There is no value add to chirp after the game. And he's not an arrogant jerk, not arrogant anyways. If he was pointing and taunting to an olineman nobody would think nothing of it.

Football gods also hate dirty blocks.

I agree that if he doesn't make comments after the game...it's a non issue. I don't think the block was intended to be dirty so much as it was just poorly timed and the result of a slow old guy who doesn't throw blocks trying to help out on a broken play. I don't think Green would risk having his head at a guy's knee on purpose. I mean a guy like Rob Murphy of the BC Lions...he intentionally throws dirty blocks all the time...I don't think Green was trying to throw a dirty block on purpose. It was a bad attempt by him and he got injured or what he deserved if you will...Houston guy should have left it at that.

I doubt Green thought about a dirty block he thought I'm small and old, and the only way I'm going to stop this guy is going low ... still a dirty block. Anyway, he could have ended 2 careers with that decision. Anyway, I hope he has a good time as a broadcaster, or watch his kids grow up or whatever.

Is it a coincidence that the Bears are infinitely better with Griese running the show than Grossman? I think not.

The Cards will be fine with Leinart gone, even though I believe that he should be taking 100% of the snaps if healthy. Warner's been fantastic.

San Diego will win out and go 13-3. Oh wait, they only play Denver once more and Norv Turner is their head coach. Nevermind...but they should have no problem winning the weakest division in football.

How do you get two wild card teams out of the AFC South? Not because there aren't two good ones, but because all 3 will probably be better teams than the other options in the North, West (lmao) and East. Maybe Baltimore.

Pittsburgh is the most underrated team in the NFL this season.

Oh yeah, it's HOCKEY season!

Mack Strong from the Seahawks has to suddenly retire after a hit yesterday was revealed to have his neck pinching his spinal cord.
He'll make a full recovery if he quits right now.
15 years, 200+ games in the NFL as fullback? Very rare breed instead...was a big reason Alexander fell one yard short of the rushing title a few years back, and also was the lead back for Chris Warren and Ricky Waters in thier 1000 yd seasons too.

Great player who will never get the recognition he deserves.

Undrafted free agent signing who spent his entire career in one place. I LOVE that type of guy. Not the stats obviously, but a similar situation to Rod Smith. Comes in undrafted and goes on to be one of the greatest players in team history.
