No, I couldn't because I ordered through Chapters.ca. I work at Chapters.

Is there something wrong with buttons that I'm unaware of? This seems like a completely useless upgrade.

iRiver's are better anyways..

There's a site that's basically a copy of youtube but for porn content. You might want to do a search for it, as I uh... don't know the url of the said page.

So I just made an impulse purchase of the 8 gb Ipod touch. Was looking for a new mp3 player for a while. I wanted a high capacity player, but the only available one was the Ipod Classic, which didn't really appeal to me. The video feature on that is useless in my eyes, because of the small screen. And the Zune isn't available in Canada yet, who knows when it will be.

Anyways, the Touch is cool as hell. The wifi browsing is an amazing portable feature to have. Screen is beautiful.

Do any of you fellow touch owners know about jailbreaking and additional software you can add to it? I'm interested in trying some out, but don't want to ruin the thing.

Yes, actually there is. If you get a chance to use one of these things, you will see just how much more versatile it is with the touchscreen rather than buttons. It's basically like having an unlimited amount of buttons with an unlimited amount of features. I can't imagine navigating the internet as easily as you can on this thing if it had dedicated buttons for different functions.

In my experience showing this thing off to friends and others, you use one and you want one. It's a very convincing and impressive product.

I know this is almost unrelated, but the new Creative player is quite nice. I am comparing it to my 3 year old ipod though, so it might not come close to the Touch.

I'm using my iPod touch now, and I've gotten somewhat quicker at typing on it. I am really glad the last firmware update added calendar functionality.

As for my mom...total techno phobe!
