I guess what I don't understand is why the ignorance of others bothers him so much.

I guarantee when he is booed in Philly it's not because he's black.

The whole comment has been blown out proportion. If you watch the interview, he doesn't really even whine about it...just seemed rather matter of fact about it. He knows it exists and that's it.

Well I know we have a lot of Saints fans on this board....I hate to break it to you guys, but you can pretty much forget the Super bowl now. Brees is like a typical San Diego Charger....Great one year and horrible the next. Seems like the Saints are really getting killed in the second half of games this year. They're in it for the first half, but the other teams are making better half time adjustments, getting the lead and jumping all over Brees mistakes to run up the scores.

I guess this AFC South is for real. Also Jeff Fisher, I think he's one of the best coaches in football. Titans made a good move extending his contract.

Sports Illustrated had the Saints winning the Superbowl and every other media outlet had the Saints as favorites in the NFC. But, 0-3 is bad news. It's not an impossible hole to climb out of (especially in the NFC), but the offense has been simply horrible. Brees has 1 TD pass and 7 Int's, Bush isnt being used correctly which has resulted in Deuce being under-utilized. The defense gives up 41, 31 and 31 in three games...

The Cowboys look really strong and have to be the NFC favorite now... but they have Owens and implosion is always a possibility.

On an related note, I was trailing my fantasy football opponent by 5.5 points... he has Brees who proceeds to throw 3 Int's in a row and I win by 1/2 a point. Thank you Brees.

Yep.

There was some talk prior to the extension that the Titans were considering moving on and that this could be Fisher's last season...I thought that would be a gigantic mistake. He is absolutely one of the top 5 head coaches in the NFL.

Congrats on winning the pick em this week by the way.

The Saints season just got worse: Deuce McAllister has a torn ACL and is likely done for the year. I'd have to say that is very likely it for Deuce McAllister's career as a New Orleans Saint, he was beginning to get phased out as it were. The Reggie Bush Era is officially upon us(in terms of being a full-time back, I dont know if thats good news or not. Damn I wish we had drafted Michael Bush this year like Payton wanted to, damn Raiders!).

Tough going for the Texans this weekend as was stated above. If you were ever going to use the injury excuse this would be the time to do so but it didn't really show in the final score which I think says alot about the heart and coaching of this team. Gary Kubiak has assembled a terrific group of character guys and I think that will get them a long ways as they battle these injuries.

We lost:
-Starting C Steve McKinney to a torn acl. He's done for the year
-Ahman Green has a bone bruise on his knee and shouldn't have even been playing. Questionable for next weekend.
-Jacoby Jones suffered an AC seperation as he got drilled out of bounds by the punter who saved a punt return TD. He's out for 2-4 weeks.
-Andre Davis dislocated a finger and is day-to-day
-The big one was backup DL Cedric Killings who had to be taken off on a stretcher. He temporarily lost feeling in all his extremities but they expect him to walk out of the hospital in a few days which is wonderful.

Other then that, Ron Dayne remains banged up and is day-to-day and Andre Johnson isn't quite ready but should be good to go in week 5.

Samkon Gado will start at RB with Kevin Walters and at Jerome Mathis at WR against the Falcons.

I want to cry.

Just to add to the Saints injury woes, Jason David also has a broken forearm. Im not sure about the severity of it, but it sounds like the same injury that just cost Paul Pozluszny his season two days ago up in Buffalo. Just when David was starting to shine a little too...

Man the Titans defense is just so much better then it was last year. They're playing like a top 5 D right now, the question is will it last? Most of the guys are really young and I don't really expect it to but it's sure a nice change over the start of last season.

nfl.com is reporting Grossman will be benched in favor of Griese.

All I want to say is: my Steelers are 3-0 and kicking the stuffing out of the opposition. Big Ben looks like he's back on track for this season and Tomlin looks sharp too...

And the Bears will start winning.

I have never been able to figure out how Grossman beat Griese out for the job last year anyway. Griese has his downfalls, but he's very capable.

Rex will make a few throws to make your jaw drop with how beautiful they are, and when he screwed up you would chalk it up to youth and inexperience.

But after watching this go on for almost a year, I think the Bears have finally decided that what is between Rex's ears may never adjust to the NFL game.

And that is Griese's weakness...he doesn't have a dynamic arm. He's smart though...accurate too.

In Denver it was about toughness and leadership. I imagine he's grown up quite a bit since then. Always thought he could be a very good NFL starter.

I thought he was decent in Miami and very good in Tampa. Always thought Gruden made a mistake by letting him go.

Griese's probably a good guy to guide that Bears offence. What they need is a guy who won't make their offence a hinderance to the rest of the team. All he has to do is take advantage of the field position the defence and special teams give him and get them in field goal position and the occasional touch down without making costly turn overs. Grossman just made to many bad descisions with the ball that demoralized the team.

Yeah I thought he was solid in Tampa. Unfortunately he got injured and then Chris Simms came in and looked like their QB of the future. Of course theyd rather groom the young kid then keep going with the qualified starter, so they sent Griese packing.

The Rams are getting spanked by the 'Boys.

The Browns are taking it to the Ravens.

Looks like injuries have slowed the Texans who are down to the Falcons.

But Buffalo, even with all their injuries, are still leading the Jets late.

And Hester gets ANOTHER return for a TD. He is crazy.

Culpepper sure looks great today - 2 passing, 2 rushing TDs.

Thank goodness. I really want Russell to be able to stand on the sidelines with a clipboard for a season or two and let Culpepper steer the Raiders ship until he's ready.

But... it was against the Dolphins... so Im not getting too excited.
