Default Prison Break Season 3 Discussion (Mark Spoilers)

I know there are a few fans of this show also, so I thought I'd start a thread to get some discussion going as this season progresses.

So if any one has missed the first two episodes, Michael is locked in a prison in Panama where there are no guards and no rules. The prison is run by some gangster serving three life sentences.

T-Bag is there with Scoffield and has slipped his way into the crew running the prison some how. Mahone is there also, along with Bellick (lol). 1st episode, Scoffield gets challenged to a fight to the death and Mahone saves him, killing Michael's opponent. Meanwhile, there's another conspiracy this season and Lincoln finds out that the reason Michael is in this prison is to break out some political prisoner who is hiding away behind the prison walls.

Second episode, Mahone finds out that whoever finds the guy hiding behind the walls, gets a free pass out of prison. Mahone finds the guy and drags him out. I missed the ending though as I was dozing off... how did it end? I know Michael distracted the prisoners by blowing up the water pipe giving every one water, but what happened to "Whistler" (the guy hiding away)?

The Leader of the prison takes the bounty of Whistler becuase Scoffield got the water running.

It ends with Scoffield and Whistler stadning by each other, IIRC.

Thanks to Shaw HD here in Edmonton, I missed a few minutes near the end. Good episode though, I wasn't sure what Scofield was planning with the alcohol and bags.

Ah, I see. Kinda unrealistic, don't you think? It seemed like Whistler was "the man" every one wanted to find a kill, but because of the water, the leader takes the bounty off Whistler?

The whole thing with Sucre deciding on the spot to leave Marie-Cruz all of a sudden was very hard to believe also considering his character and how they created a guy who was basically doing everything he was doing because of her.

Good couple of episodes. They get right into the action, unlike Heroes, which looks like it'll be slow to start off.

I like Mahone being in Sona with Scofield -- he's the only other one with any other brains, and can act as a foil to Scofield as they both try to find their own ways to escape.

I hope they reveal the story alittle more about why specifically Michael was picked to break out Whistler. If the "Powers that be" really knew their stuff, Michael spent months planning the Fox River escape. 10 days seem kind of impossible, even by TV standards. Also, the actresse that plays the woman with the scratched up face is quite familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on where I've seen her before.

But by leaving her, he did more for her than if he went back. She would be a criminal if she started to aid and abed Sucre. I think he realized Lincoln was right.

Lechero (the leader) told Michael he didn't really care about Whistler, Michael asked for 2 minutes to talk about it but due to the impending riot Lechero kicked him out. Michael then took matters into his own hands and created an alcohol bomb and blew out the sewer stoppage which got the water running again. Lechero saw this as very useful/smart and released the bounty on Whistler in hopes that Michael becomes someone he can trust - (Keep your friends close but your enemies closer).

Yeah the part about Sucre just giving up for now about getting to Maricruz was kinda weak. I makes sense, but he has been so adamant about being with her that there should have been more than just his realization it's dangerous. Also, why can't she return to Panama, why is she stuck in Chicago?

They are saying 10 days right now but I will bet good money that it'll somehow get extended with errors and other stuff that will obviously get in the way. I'm really confused right now but I thought the first 2 episodes of season 3 were great...

He's been adamant because he's had to be. He had to stop her from getting married, he was with her in Mexico, then he thought he needed to save her from Billick. But seeing the mother and child sitting beside him on the bench see him as a criminal made him realise that Maricruz would always have to worry about seeing him get arrested and his child could see it happen.

I suspect that maybe she's in better hands raising the child in the US then in Panama. There she has family and a life. In Panama there is only Sucre. Plus she was never in Panama. Sucre left her in Mexico to help Billick so that Billick would tell what he did with her.

Ah, that part about the scene on the bench is a good point. Forgot about that. Nice one!
