I watched all of season 1 for the first time over the past week, just finished it yesterday. Looking forward to tonight. Hayden Panettiere was on Regis today, so I saw a preview of the episode there.

Looking forward to the season as well. I've seen some of the previews for season 2 and they don't really contain and spoilers.
To me, season 1 seemed to end on a really odd note, with Hiro in the middle of some samurai battle; I'm wondering if they're going to just make him jump back to present day almost right away, or there's actually going to be some story there. The only thing I can think of that fits, is Hiro meets the creator of that special sword that he has.
There was also the bit about Peter talking to that old, disabled guy about a guy much worse than Sylar. I thought that seemed like something that was just thrown in at the last second when they realized they had to drop in a couple of breadcrumbs for the next season. If there was a guy that was worse than Sylar why did they wait until the last episode of the season to hint at his presence? I also assume Sylar's still going to play a part in the new season since they had him crawl into a manhole rather than kill him off in season 1.
Lastly, there's the connection between all the mysterious figures, which has only been partially revealed -- the old disabled guy, HRG (Claire's father), Hiro's father, HRG's boss, invisible man, etc. I wonder how much they'll be expanding on them.

I can't wait for tonight, Heroes left many questions unanswered. I hope Syler comes back stronger than ever, the final battle last year was lacking.
I also can't wait for Heroes: Origins (next April). What an incredable way to introduce new characters. Each episode (four, I think) will introduce a new character, and viewers will choose which character will join the main cast at the end of the run.

Is that what it is? I thought it was the origins of four of the main characters, at which point the fans choose who they liked the most, and then that person will take the starring role in the series.
I'm going to go with 9 out of 10 times that Hiro becomes the lead man in the series. He is half the reason to watch the show.

i don't know, i think the cheerleader might get a few votes just to give her some more screen time, something i could definitely agree with

I have a question about the season finale, they showed a trail of blood leading to a sewer manhole...was that supposed to mean that Sylar slinked away and is in fact not dead?

I'm so stoked for tonight. I've also completed avoided any previews/spoilers. Also, I think it was the little girl (Molly?) that was hinting at a villain more powerful than Sylar, not the old black dude.
Questions:
- will we be introduced to new heroes?
- when will Sylar return?
- did Peter and Nathan survive the explotion?
- does Parkman survive (was shot by Sylar with mind bullets
- is "the company" dispanded? will Noah continue to work towards doing so?
- what happens to Hiro?
it's gonna be sweet.

Isn't Kristen Bell (from Veronica Mars) supposed to be a new character this season? Not sure what her power is, though.
And I'm pretty sure that Heroes: Origins is going to introduce 6 different characaters with different powers, one for each episode (so 6 episodes in total). Then at the end viewers will vote in their favorite character to join the show full-time in the third season.

I believe both of them did. Molly told HRG and Suresh that someone evil can see her when she locates someone and the old black dude told Peter that there was a bigger evil than Sylar out there, IIRC.

have to say as someone who loved the show and watched religiously for the first 1/2 of the 1st season, I could care less now. I'll give you season 2, episode 1:
they find someone with new powers
They find a few more
One of them gets killed
A bad guys face is the last thing you see.
Next thing, you have 5 new characters.
Repeat 12-to-24 times, and you've got the season.

I love David Anders. Loved him in Alias. I'm glad he's a new character.
And wow, they packed that show into the hour with only 2 short commericials.
I will reserve further comment until I'm sure that it's been aired everywhere.

man they packed in a lot for an hour. Thought it was gonna be totally commericial free for a while there. I guess we're all waiting for it to air everyone before discussing, so i'll wait till then.

I was impressed... good start... not too overwhelming...
I'd say that my only setback was my wife watching with me, who was asking me questions, and I hadn't seen an episode since the season finale... so I couldn't remember a bunch of the stuff... Looks like I'm going to have to buy the DVDs afterall.

I thought some stuff worked, other stuff not so much.
The storyline involving Hiro back in Japan is a waste. The english guy is a lame attempt at comedy, and I'd rather see Hiro continue on his path to becoming the bad-ass we saw in the future. The stuff with Claire was OK but I find it hard to believe with what's at stake (namely the lives of her and her family) she would be so careless. Dumb.
I did like the stuff with the Petrelli brothers, and the cop - I thought that worked.
Overall not great but not horrible. Tough to live up to last season.
Now...
I was very impressed with Journey Man. Yes a little too much like Quantum Leap - but heck that was a good show. I thought even though the premise was old, it was executed well.

Yeah they tried some new stuff today and we'll see in the long run if it was any good. An average show.

I think Hiro going back into the past has a very big influence or impact on the present day world. My guess:
1 -Past japan, Hiro meets the 1st person to ever have a special power
2 - OR, Hiro becomes the real Kenso and the stories his dad tells him are actually of Hiro.
3 - Going into the past ahs somethign to do with his family. Maybe a long family hisory of special powers since fuedal time.

I figure this is what's happening - but they have to make it cool. Right now- wasn't cool at all. The tone of it was completely different from the rest of the show.
