Good luck....The most I have made off lucky 7's is 50 bucks. But I have seen a few times were someone doesn't put up the dollar and three 7's come up.

I've heard this game HIGHLY favors the house... and after playing it, would have to agree. Ride the Wave or whatever its called is the worst.

Pai Gow is the best table game IMO.
I won $1400 in Vegas once playing it. It takes patience but the odds are much less in the house's favor than the others.
No progressives but that's a plus for me.

They're all fools' games.
-EVness at its finest.

i was just in vegas a few weeks ago, and they have Texas Hold 'Em tables now. it's just you vs. the dealer, best hand wins. the dealer doesn't even look at their cards though and can't fold, so i was able to make back quite a bit of my losses from the stupid slot machines. i'm sure the odds are still in the house favor, but just from playing it seemed like a lot less than blackjack

They're fools games if you are trying to make a living playing them.
They can be fun.
None of us are at your level though so cut us a break, k?

I fail to see how losing money is fun. "Gamble, gamble" I guess, but then again I don't understand that mantra.
It's like flipping a coin and saying if it's heads you give me $10 and if it's tails I give you $2. Who in their right mind would do that? Even in the context of the ridiculous mantra "gamble, gamble"?
Going through a casino always makes me sad. So many misguided people.

Debbie Downer.
Most of the games take skill. I dont get the slots, but card and dice games are fun and as long as you can control yourself, it's not a bad thing... just like drinking and sports gambling.

Losing money isn't any more fun than spending it.
Like I said, I won $1400 playing Pai Gow at Circus Circus. It was a blast. I turned $40 into $1400 in 9 hours. I'm up big!
Haven't been back since and I don't think I was misguided because I was sitting, playing a fools' game with one of my best friends, drinking for free and oggling hot women for 9 hours.
But hey, like I said, you have made us all aware how superior you are on multiple occasions here so I don't know why I'm even bothering!

It's not people like you who are misguided. I think it was pretty obvious I was talking about the myriad degenerates you see in those places. If that wasn't obvious I apologize.
And, yes, it happens to be closely related to my vocation, so I have first hand experience with the types of people I speak of.
But the fact remains it's -EV and pretty much throwing money away. But if you get enough fun out of the tertiary benefits of gambling in a casino to warrant the expected value lost in the process, and you are not a degenerate, then that's fine.

What if I'm kinda degenerate? Is that ok then? I mean, sometimes I imagine women naked, and once in a while I might drink a few beers too many.
I've been to Vegas around 20 times and I don't see the problem; I rarely (like maybe once a year) go to the casino here, because in general the fun is all about free drinks, hot chix from California who've had lots of free drinks, and spending less than I would on pretty well any other weekend/week away. The gambling is secondary.
Obviously some people can't control their gambling, and it doesn't attract the more moral element of society, but that is all part of the allure. If there was no danger of overdoing it, doing it wouldn't be nearly as much fun...

my buddy and I were sitting next to each other and I already had two unsuited 7's. The dealer had an 8 showing and he had a ten and a 3. Obviously he should hit but he actually looked at me and said
"I'm not going to hit because I just know that the next card is a seven" sure as sh*t the next card was a seven and I won $500. Craziest thing I've ever seen.
I'm also really stoked to play some craps in Vegas

Funny story. My friends back home in Vancouver go to the casino a lot, so I'm there more than usual whenever I go back for the holidays or to visit.
Any how, we head to the casino one night to meet up with some friends already there. Walk up to the Caribbean table to see our buddy sitting there playing while his girlfriend is with him watching. He mentions that he's going to leave after the current hand and offers his seat up to my other friend who wants to get in. The guy already sitting is a regular and the pit boss allows him to give up his seat to my friend even though there was probably a wait list. My buddy sits down after the hand... first hand he gets? Royal Flush of spades. Wins 100% of the jackpot - about $500,000. LOL.
