So do you think most 7-11 stores will sell the game at midnight? I'd much rather just walk in pay and walk out than wait in line at Futureshop. Plus it saves me a longer drive.

For reviews on video games, I tend to use metacritic:
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/halo3
They average all quantative reviews to arrive at a composite score. It's usually pretty good. Plus they give a section for user reviews that I tend to rely on.
Looks like Halo3 is pretty good, just not revolutionary. meh

I can't wait for this game!!!
My Xbox collection consists of Halo games and NHL games, that is all I play video games wise. Not a huge uber geek, so I never got into PC games.
Don't understand the huge hate for it, but whatever its a sweet game.

I dont get why people play games on easy...

Sorry, not what I meant if I offended you.
However if you pick your keyboard over some tang then you fall into that category

I wouldn't say paid off, but a game with this much hype isn't going to get poor reviews. Microsoft has paid a ton of advertising for Halo 3 and all these gaming sites/magazines are getting a lot of that revenue. Do you really think Microsoft is going to let these sites give their game a review less than 9.0 if they're paying for that much advertising?
Halo 2 is the classic case of this - it was a consensus 9.5 when it came out, but it's widely considered a disappointment nowadays.
That's not to say Halo 3 might not be a good game - it's just that reviews for games with this much hype mean absolutely nothing.

I don't think that even the geekiest geek, given the choice between keyboard and tang, would ever choose keyboard.

Ha! Don't worry not offended. Didn't think you meant what I thought. And trust me, the keyboard never takes priority over the tang. Can't say the same for everyone, as I've known some guys to choose WoW over 'play'. Sad I know.

If you get this at midnight you really need a life... it's only one game, and I doubt there's going to be a shortage of copies.

I don't think a shortage will be a problem there are some Futureshops that have been reported to have 1200 copies of this game.
Me personally I have been waiting for this game for a long time so why not get it at midnight since I got no other plans and sleep about 4 hours a night anyways. Yes everyone needs a life, since there is so much more going on, on a Monday night...

LOl thats nothing compared to the nerds who have been camping outside stores for 2 days now. It reminds me of dead rising, a buncha lifeless zombies hanging around a shopping plaza lol. I just saw earlier on tv, this one nerd with crutches waiting outside some store! Unbelievable someone would be there with crutches, uhh maybe try resting considering you cant even walk? pppffff thts just pathetic.

Yeah that's pretty bad... I mean, I camped out overnight for a Wii because I'm a pretty big dork, but that's a bit different. New console, limited supply (you still can't find one).
Camping out for a single game that there's sure to be thousands of copies of seems a bit silly to me. Especially for a game that, unless you're playing it online, isn't really anything that special (at least that's what the reviews say).

This is true. It's more about advertising dollars than getting paid directly for a good review. I remember a while back Capcom stopped advertising in a magazine (I think it was EGM) because of a bad review (Can't remember which game). I'm not sure how long that lasted. This was about maybe 10 years ago.
