Where is McNabb making excuses? I heard a good point brought up last night; why is it that majority of NFL players are black but only 5 out of 32 teams have a black starting QB?

Likely because it's only been in about the last 20 years that Division 1A colleges have been willing to use black QB's. From that even fewer of the main feeder schools are using one. QB, Middle Linebacker, and offensive line are about the only 3 positions in the NFL where you'll see white players anymore. Theres the odd guy at another position, but outside of those three positions the league is pretty much African American athletes.

That's kind of my point. When reading between the lines, the most consistant thing you read about black QBs is that they lack good decision-making skills or can't read coverages (i.e. they're dumb). All black QBs seem to be known as scrambling QBs (with the exception of Leftwich). It's the same thing you hear without actually hearing about white WRs/RBs, that they're "possession receivers" (i.e. they're slow). I think that's what Donovan is trying to say.
EDIT: Apparently I'm bang on.

Pressed for specific examples, McNabb pointed to being a running quarterback.
"Nobody ever talked to Steve Young about the running quarterback situation and Jake Plummer," he said.
McNabb has always been sensitive about being labeled a running quarterback. He considers himself someone who passes first and runs only out of necessity.
"You wouldn't ask somebody else the questions we get asked," McNabb said, declining to reveal those questions.

I allways joke with friends that to be fair. The NFL, or any other sports league, should make a rule that each team must make up its roster according to the latest census. So as an example if the census stated that 50% of the population was Caucasion, 12% was African American, 15% was latino, 20% was Chinese, ect. ect. Eash team would need to fill its roster with the same percentages of differant races to be fair to everyone.
Obviously that is a riduculous idea. I'm sure there is still plenty of racism out there. But we hear a Black QB complain that there are only 5 Black starting QB's in a 32 team league. When 75-80% of the league is made up of African American players. I don't hear any Chinese people complaining that there are no Chinese starting QB's in the NFL.

Also just 2 INT's short of the career record - it's appropriate he'll get both b/c I think it really defines his career, both the good and the bad.

Yup...though without question I will take the second record as long as it is accompanied by the first one. There isnt a GM in football that isnt looking for the next guy to accomplish what Favre has.

Brilliant...give yourself a gold star.
Past his "prime"...no kidding and no argument. Doesnt mean he is finished though. Just beat two playoff teams from last year, no matter what spin you want to put on it.

By average, I mean around 16th best QB in the league, which right around where I'd currently rank him.

So you admit that RIGHT NOW, he is better or equal to HALF the starting QB's in the NFL...but he should of quit?
Strange.

Not sure where you would get the idea I said he should just quit - I never said that as far as I can recall (though I'm not absolutely certain - this is a long standing topic and my memory may be <100%) - I did say I thought GB would be better off playing a younger guy to see what they have such as Rodgers. I have also said Favre is overrated and is no longer a top QB, or something along those lines. Bit of a stretch to infer I believe he should just quit unless I said something I don't recall. But then, I guess since you believe Favre is still the greatest QB in the league, it's hard for you to believe someone could think he's slipped into the middle of the pack. (just so it's clear, I know you didn't say this but it makes for better fun when you make leaps of fancy about what people think - see above)
My simple opinion is that Favre has declined into mediocrity and he no longer has what it takes to get an a team through the playoffs.

Meh, I still think Favre has the ability to be a decent starter in this league. After an awful '05 season he looked ready to retire, but he rebounded nicely in '06, and so far has looked decent in the '07 season. No question he's not what he once was, and I agree he's slipped back into the middle of the pack in terms of NFL starters, I dont think that's a shocking statement there. He takes too many chances with the football the last few years(though he's always been a gunslinger), trying to force balls into small windows that he probably shouldnt be, hence why he throws as many picks as he does TD's. And he's kind of gotten on my nerves lately, he seems to have gotten grumpy the past couple years and publicly said some dumb stuff this offseason. But he's still a legitimate starter, and along with that defence(which I think is the real key to that team. The pressure that front seven puts on opposing QB's is insane), so far in this young season the Packers look like they could be a legitimate playoff team in a weak NFC.

The Miami Dolphins are a frustrating team to watch and cheer for. The offence has had a decent game...Green is 11/18 for about 160 and Ronnie Brown has ran for 76 yards through the first half but the so called strength of the team the defence has been absolutely brutal so far and the Jets have had their way with the Fins and are about to score again.

Broncos lose...finally. Theyre lucky to be 2-1. Cutler looked decent and seemed to really be on the same page with Marshall. Unfortunately, he made some crucial errors including taking two timeouts in 3 plays down by the Jacksonville goaline and the pick at the end.

Yup. Although Kiffen pulled a bush-league Shanahan move on the Browns today, calling a timeout right before the snap. The original kick was good, the second one was blocked. That rule needs to be changed.
The Broncos look shaky. Lucky for them, so do the Chargers, Raiders, and Chiefs.

Actually, Cutler was outstanding today. I don't care what you say. Crucial mistakes? I didn't see them. He called the second timeout because he could not hear the play Shanahan was giving him. Maybe he should've just winged it?
The defense really misses Al Wilson IMO. There is plenty of pressure up front, but the linebackers aren't supporting like I'm used to seeing. Bailey is absolutely everywhere which means something is lacking. They need to lose Nate Webster as a starter.
They'll be fine if they can tighten up the run defense a little bit. Still can't believe Graham dropped that ball on the 4th down play. Inexcusable.
Cutler was fantastic..as was Marshall.
