I never thought I'd ever sign up for a political party, but the UCP is too stupid and dangerous to leave unchecked and Nenshi is probably the only candidate who has a chance at removing them. So now I'm an official NDP member, get ####ed Danielle

Curious if folks joining the party via Nenshi's site comes across in the analytics that the party can see (I'd assume yes). Wonder what that looks like right now and the possible reaction it may be causing in the upper echelons of the party.
I imagine if you look at a chart of new memberships by day it’s gunna show a massive outlier today lol.

That isn’t that many to offset. This completes my collection of party memberships having now been a member of various versions of conservative and liberal parties and now the NDP
Last election cycle was pretty eye opening for me. I loathed Danielle Smith and the Wild Rose contingency of the UCP, but because of the harm done to me by the former NDP government I swore to never vote for them again. My plan was to vote Alberta Party and I waited for a candidate who never surfaced. The choices were simply UCP, NDP and throwaway votes.
I actually voted NDP even though they were awful from my perspective, but they would have been the better party for Alberta. Smith is unhinged and doesn’t represent the typie of conservatism I believe in.
Tonight I bought my membership to the ANDP party, and while I had issues with some of Nenshis pettier moments, he led with poise and seemed to always have Calgarians first. Something I can’t say about the UCP.

As conservatives always read the rules, then you'd know you need to buy a membership to vote.
But I should vote for free:
