I put 1 point on CAR beating DAL. Could happen.

LOL, I missed that. I was just shocked to see so much consensus since I thought there were a number of tough picks, especially with so much of the playoff picture decided.

Im interested to see how the Giants react to last weeks brutality of a game. They win and they are in but they have a pretty good team in front of them, defensively anyhow, in Buffalo who will be riding high on emotion as Kevin Everett returns to see his teammates just 4 months after he was taken off the field expecting to never walk again. Remarkable story.

With Dallas winning last night I have little hope that the Packers can now pass them for home field through out the NFC playoffs. In fact, I expect a bit of a struggle against their arch rivals today, though the Packers D should eat Kyle Orton for lunch. But if they squeeze this one out it sets up for an interesting weekend in 7 days when the Cowboys go on the road to Washington ( always a tough game for them) while the Pack host the reeling Lions.

Another team that NEEDS to have a good day is the Seahawks. With the PO up in 2 weeks they looked to all the world like they simply are not ready to compete last week. Ditto the Saints and they have an Eagle team that has played quite well of late even if their record suggests otherwise.

Cleveland is another team that looks to cinch a spot, and this is a game I wouldn't wager on....these division rival games just seem to always go away from the trends.

Jags will demolish the Raiders and clinch their spot.

Still an interesting weekend late in the year. Love the NFL for this stuff.

Well so far the Saints D is an absolute no show, it looks like Brees will have score 50 plus for them to have a prayer today.

This made me laugh!

Alot of weird games today...

Cleveland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay all getting spanked by teams who shouldn't have even put up a fight.

I was really hoping for a 70-0 win by NE but either way they are 15-0 and going to be playing a team that could barely keep up with a 7-7 team who isn't even in a playoff picture.

Now watching MIN/WAS game you wouldn't know that MIN was in a playoff battle with the team they are playing right now as they are playing very weak on both sides of the ball.

Should make for an interesting week 16 as most positions will be locked up. I wonder who will sit who and when.

Ugh...
Injuries galore, shoddy defense could not stop the pass or the run. Looks like they're still alive if Washington can hang on. They would have to beat Chicago, and would need Denver to beat Minnesota next week. A playoff rematch vs. Seattle could be brutal.

Edit: Washington has to lose to a Dallas team that has nothing to play for, as well.

As I thought may happen....a letdown in a brutal enviroment.

Full marks to the Bears though..Favre is now only 12-3 in his career in Chicago. One ugly game.

Same thing tonight...Vikes are in control of their own destiny but crap the bed badly.

GB cannot move up or down for 3 weeks...hope the big guy gets used to bad weather by then, because he has stunk at it as of late.

Interesting scenario next week. The Giants have nothing to play for, and the Pats don't either....unless you count an undefeated regular season as something to play for. Will the Giants rest their starters and leave us all wondering if they might have handed the Patriots a defeat if they had played everyone?

NYG doesn't get a bye week so I wouldn't be suprised if that happened.

So the only teams really playing for anything next week are:

6th in the AFC:
- Cleveland
- Tennessee

6th in the NFC:
- Washington
- Minnesota
- New Orleans

3rd in the AFC:
- Pittsburgh
- San Deigo

Giants will rest guys because they don't have a bye week and this game means nothing to either team's final ranking. The Pats will play as normal, for at least the first half, because they want the perfect season and since they have a bye they don't want to chance any rust with no full speed games for 2 weeks. The only thing the Pats will worry about are injuries, but the Giants are in the same boat.

That's the way I read it.

Yeah, I sort of figured this could happen since about mid season. As much as the Pats will have things locked up and nothing to really play for, the Giants were just as likely to be in the same boat. Dallas had that division won about 5 weeks ago and no one else in the NFC was looking like they could knock the Giants out of the first wild card. Pats will play their starters for the first half at least and if the Giants aren't putting any pressure on Brady he'll play at least 3 quarters. They don't want him not to sit for 3 weeks not playing type of thing.

I just hope if they do it, we don't see it happen again for 35 years or so.

Things are sure tight in the Pick'em pool.

I need SD to win to give me a bit of breathing room, but going into the final week anyone can still win.

And picking the final week can be brutal.

Edit: And even Dis picked SD!
Although who am I to talk? I knew SF always gives TB a tough game but I went with logic instead of my heart and it cost me.

Ugh, Vikings choke away a chance of clinching. Now they need a win and a Dallas thumping of the Redskins.

Yeah, in looking at the picks....I was hoping for the Washington win even though I picked Minnesota as it was in my best interest since I only had 5 points on that game.

This final week is a doozy as there really isn't much for slam dunk games and you never know how some teams who are in will play. Like does Indy want to try and keep the Titans out of the playoffs? Can your Niners crush the playoff hopes of an AFC team on the final day of the season like they did last year. I was trying to size up picks last night and was beside myself. I had like a 26 point lead going into the last week last year and held on to win by one point. I need to have a good final week this year if I want to keep my faint hopes of repeating alive. I'm thinking the last week choke is in the cards for my again.

I don't think they have a chance either way.

NE is going to go all our for the unbeaten regular season, and the numerous other records they can break.

I hope they do. They should. They've earned the right to.

Man, San Diego is sure full of themselves. It's comical to watch. Rivers talking trash to Champ Bailey. Like he's Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

The Chargers will lose and lose badly in the second round no matter who they play. They are a fraud in a fraud division.
