Now that Munroe has power the entire scenerio of battle against him is a stretch especially with this new character that has emerged. Like it wasn't lopsided enough.
But my household will still continue to watch it. Its entertaining good mix of characters and i like the cast.
They need to have Miles group to locate at least 1 of the other pendents to make it more interesting.

What the heck did she pull out of him at the end? I thought she was going to dig out one of the bullets- for some kind of revenge. But that thing lit up.

It's the mystery they try to hook you with after writing a terrible script... Looks like it didn't work for some.

Was about to pack it in on this show when they got to break, decided to see if the big reveal and big cliffhanger was worth it.
It wasn't. In fact it might have been one of the worst episodes yet.
Monroe has one of the few necklaces that they've been searching half a year for? No worry, I know someone else just a few hours away that has one.
Besides, if Monroe is using the amplifier and bringing it along with his attacks anyway, wouldn't the rebels be able to use their machines too when he comes by?
The actors are bad, the characters aren't very interesting, the plot isn't interesting anymore and often doesn't even make sense.
Makes me sad this show remained and they pulled off Last Resort. It wasn't amazing, but a hell of a lot better than this.

Monroe's amplifier went up ACDC'd (shot down in flames).
I still want to know where they got a cart, horse, uniforms, dead bodies, and caskets.
As I said at my last orgy, too many holes.

I was thinking it was some kind of mini-amplifier, like if he had a pacemaker or something and that was powering it (at least that explains why they went to that specific hospital flashback all about his unexplained experimental procedure).
Guess we'll find out at some point, not sure that I care tho.

So is anybody else still watching? If it wasn't for the CityTV app so I could watch on the bus I may have bailed again. However a couple of interesting developments. I will use spoilers just in case.
We found out why the "weapon" was deployed:
We also know how the electricity stays off:
So what is happening now?
And a funny tidbit- we found out who is running California; Governor Afflec.

If these nanoprobes are being inhaled like she said, why aren't they killing people by absorbing their electric impulses?
Lame.

That is a plot hole that you just have to set aside. There are other much bigger holes to be concerned about.
I put my initial posts in spoiler tags as I bumped the thread from page 3; however I think we are OK to talk about it now.
So Monroe now has a nuclear bomb. That brings me to a couple of big questions:
- Could you operate a nuclear bomb with no electronics? Assuming there is some way the nuclear reaction could work (I don't know how nuclear bombs work)- how would you detonate it? Some sort of fuse? Or would you have to sacrifice one of the pendants?
- Isn't one of the side effects of a nuclear blast an EMP? Seeing the blackout is being caused by nanoprobes; would they be disabled by the EMP? Would that restore power to an area; at least temporarily?

Considering that the firing of a nuclear weapon uses precisely timed electronically fired explosive triggers and that in order for that to happen, the bomb almost has to have a precise altimeter that tells it when the explosion needs to happen, I don't think you can do it without electricity unless your willing to sit there and precisely calculate the lengths of several hundred fuses and then sit in the bomb and light them all at the same . . .
Never mind, I haven't started watching the show since the mid break but have the last four episodes recorded, it almost sounds like its too stupid to blow 4 hours on.

I think this is more of a ground based bomb; so more like the one in James Bond "View to a Kill" and less like the ones used in WWII or on an ICBM.
Nevermind that- the whole nanoprobe thing blows away the helicopters working. I get how based on the physics of the show the pendants could disable the nanoprobes within a certain radius. However with a helicopter flying at speed it would have to create such a large field that everybody within kilometres would also have their electronics working. So they wouldn't have had to strap a pendant to a SAM missile.
(I'm not helping you want to watch- am I CC?)

I think the US got an episode Canada didn't... do we catch up this week? I thought I recorded a new episode on my PVR but when I went to play it back it was something else from City (even though I recorded NBC).

Not really
I'm disapointed with the nanite idea, it makes sense and is probably the easiest way to explain the lack of electricity, but first and foremost you would think that the creators would have created a GI Joe style kill switch. And if these things basically what nullify electricity that no life would exist anywhere. On the good side, no thunderstorms, on the bad side no more shuffling across the carpet in your bare feet to surprise shocker your significant other.
Not to get into nuclear bomb theory but you still use electronic switches to time fire the shaped charged explosions inwards and it has to be precisely fired usually using a computer chip.

I caught up with the rest of the season during a 6 hour bus ride with the Rage last weekend. It actually had a strong season one ending that sets up what is literally a series reboot in season two.

Some of those story lines interest me......might have to catch up and try again in the fall.

I disagree with CC entirely, I thought the season finale bombed. We can basically sum up season 1 as
