I agree and I did edit my post, Elliott has to be better. The problem is which goaltenders are out there right now who are better. I can't think of anyone. Either they get lucky and get someone like Bobrovsky and be patient and develop him or one of their prospects pans out, which could take years... both of which are a crapshoot. Teams don't trade starting goaltenders who don't have warts in their game.

Cam Talbot? Frederik Andersen?
How about Ben Bishop or even Fleury? Do you think any of those guys who were available have not out-performed Elliott in the playoffs, and especially these playoffs. The missed high stick on the 3rd goal sucks but as far as I'm concerned, this is 100% on Elliott. He's lost the net for game 4 as far as I'm concerned and no way should we be signing him for next season.
