They are mostly mad that knowing MsDavid is out for the next 2 games kills any chance of walk-up sales for those games and even some season ticket owners will just stay home and not spend money this weekend on that disgusting excuse for a hockey team.

Just looked at the hit, can't believe Oilers were trying to defend that. There was no attempt to mitigate the impact at all from McDavid.
I wouldn't have cared if they didn't suspend him though. Not like they are making the playoffs, so anything to keep them away from the bottom is good.

I'm gonna predict they get shutout for the next 2 games. The team has pretty much come to rely on McDavid for any kind of offense. We will see if Draisaitl can truly drive a line on his own and generate scoring.

Oilers are done. 29 regulation losses with a month and a half to play. This only helps their tank and they'll be thanking them later when they pick Hughes or whichever poor soul they're going to ruin next.

Pretty severe punishment actually. I can't remember another time when the NHL has suspended an entire team for an incident like this.
