How the hell is Dave Cameron still employed?! Now I totally feel the frustration Oilers are feeling when the team just refuses to get rid of incompetent staff in the organization.

Unbelievable ending. Team needs a shake up. They’re Swiss cheese

no words to be honest.

this is a 5 game losing streak regardless of what the loser point does...

like someone already said, Calgary has pissed away what that 8 game winning streak did.

Probably the worst of the 5 loses so far; each one seems to get worse and worse.

Mentally fragile team

Oh there you are.

The Flames have lost 5 in a row.

This team has no killer instinct. It's like they feel bad for the other team when they're winning or when the get a powerplay.

Why is everyone blaming Frolik? That wasn’t exactly a laser beam. Smith had a ton of options and the one he chose was to put it on Haula’s stick.

Not saying Frolik is blameless as that was stupid but even then that should have been a freeze or a clear to the corner.

Plenty of stupidity to go around, including the inability of this coach to feel the game and realize his team is rattled.

I think the Flames played a hell of a game. They couldn't have executed the coach's plan much better than they did...and in the end they only scored 2 goals while playing as well as they could. They did everything their coach asked of them, but again - perfect hockey does not exist. The PP could have saved them, but it didn't because it's incompetent. If your system relies on you to win the special teams battle, then you better win the special teams battle and this team never does.

Scoring only 2 goals effectively demands perfect hockey. Perfection does not exist.
Perfect hockey does not mean you shoot the puck to your own goalie with less than 3 mins left in the game. Go ice the friggin puck, play the puck north, not south !!

Just like last year. Team plays a long stretch of mediocre hockey then hit a long winning streak and at its conclusion revert back to mediocre hockey. The next winning streak better come soon as a few more weeks of this hockey and this team will be in a big hole.

It was a typical Glen Gulutzan game. Play perfect most of the way, but make one mistake, and it turns into a loss. I don't know how anyone can continue to defend this clown and his troupe of misfits he calls assistants.

That one really feels like a back breaker. Played a good game, better team for 57 minutes but once again special teams and a bad minute of hockey let them down.

How many times this year have we allowed 2 goals in two minutes or less.

Win 7 straight to now only get 4/10 points while losing 5 straight. 4 of those games against teams you are battling in your conference.

Honestly how they react Thursday will be telling of this season IMO. If they come out flat and lose then it’s lights out for them IMO.

Smith was probably screened, just enough time to kick it out.

100% agree, all he had to do was backhand it to the corner. I think Smith was not prepared because Brodie made a move to play the puck. Two bad plays.

Still, the team was vissably rattled, and our loser coach couldn't think to call a timeout.

Put Mangiapane with Backlund and Tkachuk next game. Could not be worse than Frolik tonight.

Backlund was sub par again.

I know people are going to blame Frolik but he was probably eating from a straw for awhile, just came back and played a good amount of minutes. You don't put a player in those circumstances on the ice with less than 2:00 left in the game. You just don't.

Brain dead coaching 101, PERIOD. There is no excuse for this. Gully needs to get in front of the cameras and blame himself. But he won't he'll be a chicken #### coward.

I am really starting to wonder about GG and staff. I was a huge supporter, but this Flames team just has zero killer instinct. 5 games in a row we let a one goal lead turn into a loss. This one hurts.
Gully is getting owned by his own players. Basically let Brouwer stay on the ice at his request in that other loss last week, and now probably kept Frolik on because he wanted to rectify the situation when he was probably shell shocked.

One thing is for sure though, you can't blame that last play on Dave Cameron. Unless he has blackmail on Frolik and told him to do that!

because Frolik has to send that behind the net, neither Brodie nor Smith can be expected to predict that stupidity.

Have to agree with the call-ups on the coaching on sober second thought.

GG could have done a better job for sure.
