Kassian is known to run at goalies as well, Glass would certainly be willing to help keep that in check.

The Oilers have some real grease (pun intended) on their club right now. Have to have some kind of answer for it.

I feel thai just proves why this is going to turn out to be a useless signing. Glass was playing the preseason like every game was his last. Other veterans weren't even close to putting in a similar effort so once that occurs Glass will be in the press box or AHL where he belongs

Run McDavid then send him down lol. Seriously though signing Glass is a way of a valuable NHL roster spot

Glass has also claimed number 15. He was wearing 51 in camp.

I pity the Foo.

The guy earned it and won me over a bit in preseason. Actually decent footspeed for a guy his age too.

If you keep in a complimentary role he could be a contageous energy guy that others can feed off of.

Could sit for a while too and jump back in no issues.

No problem at all with the signing. Glass showed in the pre-season he can still play and adds some physicality to the team. As long as he only plays 10 minutes a night in 40 or so games I think fans will be happy.

The thing with Glass is that he has to constantly play how he played in the pre-season, and he knows it. Anything other than a good effort every night results in him being a scratch in favor of someone else, and a few in a row will result in him being demoted and possibly never heard from again in the NHL.

This is his last shot to keep his NHL career going. He better be hungry every night, and he better practice harder than anyone else either. That's a good thing for the team, as energy is infectious.
