Let the panic commence! Just heard a cnn anchor say these exact words on the air. "And now we have an ebola outbreak in the US. I think it is far too early to use that word."

Really?

That doesn't say Ebola anywhere in that Edmonton case.

This isn't good. This person was apparently well protected to avoid an infection.

Right but the mentions on Twitter did. That doesn't mean anything because twitter is hardly a solid source, but I thought it was worth posting just out of sheer interest. Hopefully we aren't being told about how difficult the spread is and it's actually easier though.

I read the cbc story on the edmonton case and I believe it said that if they suspected he had ebola they have to announce it but once they bring out patient confidentiality you can rule out diseases like ebola

I heard on the news that ebola only affects black people.

So you should be okay to travel to Houston for business.

Except for all the ISIS rape victims. Double whammy right there. Oh you just got raped? Well have some Ebola!

Lol. Kidding aside the Canadian cases are scary. I volunteer at a hospital ER and not sure if I should continue if cases start showing up.

Well...hes as good as dead. And if you had to choose death by Ebola or life in Edmonton then hes getting the better end of the deal.

There's been serious discussion about the possibility that some group may attempt to use Ebola in a suicide type attack.
