This is why I'm not so worried about his point production. He is a stay at home defenseman. By the sounds of this post it seems like he does his job in the defensive end, makes the short safe pass out, and as the play moves up he switches off and the more offensive d men jump on the ice and continue the play.
All in all, he either doesn't work out, or he works out better then what any could have hoped for. He's a prospect. Give him time and hope for the best, I like him.
