Yeah sorry, didn't realize I kind of left a cliffhanger. Obviously he wouldn't know too much yet, but basically said there will be two new national crews being formed.

Current sportsnet employee promotion will depend on plans of guys on other stations (mentioned Cuthbert/Hughson). Isn't sure about the Flames current team's fate. But mentioned there will likely be even more Flames games on sportsnet west.

It may take 20-30 games to adjust. But the mistakes that Berra makes sure don't look like little adjustments. To me an adjustment means deciding to be a half-foot deeper in the crease or something like that. But if you're going to swim 5 feet out of your crease simply because a guy is holding onto the puck...

Agreed, I just have faith/hope that he'll find it.He's so quick with lateral movements that he seems to skoot too far when he slides across, which wasn't as big of an issue in Europe since it was so much wider.

Todays first goal, inexcusable. I'm speaking generally.

I totally agree. It is a rebuild and even before the season starts, I knew Flames will not be in a playoff spot so this is the best time to develop the young guys including the goaltenders. I was expecting JoeyMac backing up Kari Ramo until at least the middle of the season but Hartley and Feaster have other things in mind so they sent JoeyMac to Abby and brought in Berra earlier than I thought. I like that Berra and Ramo are learning the system and also learning from their mistakes. I was hoping Hartley will sort of split the goaltending duties between the two or even play one guy 3-4 times in a row then switch and do the same thing. I don't want the Flames to get a rental goaltender. By the time one of Ramo-Berra's contract expires Gilles should be ready to play in the NHL. Then they can trade one of them.
