I think we should move on from Carducci. He's been a good, loyal soldier and won some big games, achieving good success here, but I believe there are better keepers. Plus, if we signed Ingham, Spruce Meadows could save a little money on snow removal!
Can we still make fun of his man bun if he plays for us?
That's a good point; we do lose a target in that sense, and I hope that Tommy is factoring that kind of thing in. This is exactly why we can't sign a guy like Callum Irving.

He seems like the kind of guy who would understand and enjoy that sort of banter. Just develop a positive man bun chant that can be used after a big save.
In the cadence of "Mar-co Car-du-cci": "Saved by the man bun" clap, clap, clap clap clap. Smiles all around.
Nathan Ingham is out of contract and is apparently in discussions with Cavalry. Carducci is also out of contract and there have been rumblings for a while that he wanted to give Europe a shot.
If you got a problem — turn off your station. Daan Klomp is by far the best player in the league, and he couldn't make it onto a reserve team down in Australia, then he got cut by a Belgian lower division club. The idea of Carducci "exploring his options in Europe" is hilarious.

Dude, just stop following CPL if you hate it so much, and stop the incessant whining. Good lord.

Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) today announced the departure of goalkeeper and captain Marco Carducci as his contract with the club comes to an end.
Quote:
“Marco has been an exceptional leader for this football club from the very first day he walked through the door,” said Tommy Wheeldon Jr., Head Coach & General Manager, Cavalry FC. “We won’t just miss his consistency and calm presence between the posts. We’ll miss the incredible human being he is. We’ve shared unforgettable highs and some difficult lows, both on and off the pitch, and I’m deeply grateful to Marco for trusting me to coach him and for everything I’ve learned from him along the way.
Gutted to see Marco go, although I've been hearing rumours for the last 18 months. Whatever you have to say about him he bleeds this club and is a massive part of it.
Sounds like some more big pieces are going to be moving on, potentially Camargo and Aird as well. Going to be an interesting offseason.

CPL becomes 10x more entertaining if Sartini is in it. What a character
Interesting (but I don’t think surprising) that there could be other big named departures. It’s been a few years with the same core now and some change is healthy. Just have to do it right
