He should be much more concerned about the sad fact that he is stuck for another five years playing for the tire fire that is the Edmonton Oilers.

Thanked for correct use of tire fire over dumpster fire due to prolonged burn length

Yeah, probably not, he should be more worried about his legacy as a guy that can't win and can't make the playoffs. I mean all the gaudy numbers mean nothing when he's sitting at the kiddies table while guys like Gretzky, Crosby, Howe and Orr are looked at the Goats and McDavid will be that player that sure scored a lot of points, but never accomplished anything meaningful.

Maybe when he gets traded to a team where he doesn't have to be the guy, he'll have more success later in his career.

Yeah he’s trending more towards a Marino than a Manning. Maybe he’ll get himself a sweet guest spot in a Jim Carey movie, while other great players are winning championships and playing with integrity.

That was really a battle of two really bad teams. like really bad.

I thought Ottawa would be a bit better, but they're completely outclassed in this league right now. Ottawa looks like the 9 win Winnipeg Jets.

M. Murray asking himself if it was worth the extra 20% pay raise to get annihilated.

11 games in 18 days. Second of a back to back. 4th string goalie who is playing his first game in the NHL and his first game in 10.5 months.

I’m not disappointed by any means. Take the 2 points. Play them again then get some rest before the BOA

And 5 goals against.

I’m mostly annoyed because we’ll be force fed Mcavi and Raisaitl storylines for the next couple of days despite their team being 5-6 on the season and only winning this game because of special teams. Pretty much like every other game.

I doubt it even crossed the collective minds of McDiver and Drycyle, let alone be mentioned by Tippet, that hey we got a guy playing his first game ever in the big leagues in goal, maybe we should protect the guy, focus on defense and keep the shots against down.

Nope, pond hockey as usual.

Quite the thing they have going up there. At least they’re consistent.

5 points and a -1 has to be some kind of record or at least a rare once in a generation occurrence.

Meanwhile, the Wild win in OT in their rather fetching reverse retros. I still think they'd be better with green numbers bordered in yellow, but it is "reverse", after all, so whatever.

You don't do that. You just don't. And the surprising thing is that Tippett knows that. Yet he did it anyway.

There will be retribution for this. Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not this year. But there will be at some point.

And it will be glorious.

The Senators, in their last 4 losses, have actually out shot the Canucks and Oilers in each game.
