Instead of cheering for losses, you can cheer for good shifts from the young players on the team and give constructive feedback when they make mistakes!

There’s too much dunking by team tank. It’s way too early, and making things borderline insufferable on here.
And I’m on team tank.

Gave him that contract after his first season with the Flames that happened to be a career season. Conny then repeated that trend with Bahl which isn't looking so hot right now. Hopefully he pumps the brakes on these type of signings.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Sort of related: It is kind of interesting that Conroy gave Huska the extension and then I think it was expected that Conroy would get one himself but it hasn’t happened yet.

Every GM makes a bad signing or two but to me it’s more what you do after the fact.
Sharangovich is not an NHL player anymore. What message does it send to your organization and the prospects therein that worked their balls off in the summer when you gift this guy a spot and he can just shut down the effort so much just because you’ve signed him to a ####ty contract?
To me it’s clear what should be done for multiple reasons. Sit / bench / waive this clown. It makes no sense to keep sending him out there. He is not an NHL player and clearly doesn’t give a #### anymore. Absolutely guaranteed multiple of the kids in the AHL would perform way better than this guy. You’re paying the salary anyway- it’s a sunk cost. It’s done, move on. Who cares if he gets picked up on waivers? He literally has no value anyway.

Is the prevailing sentiment that the guys who spent the last six months talking about how this team was the mushy middle and that they had to trade guys like Kadri to actually get a good draft pick are suddenly right because the team looks destined for a high draft pick, not the mushy middle, and haven’t traded anyone?

You know what the highlight of your game for me was?
The last 5-6 minutes where Huska put Parekh with Bahl and let him loose to play his style for what looked like 3.5-4 minutes out of the last 6.
He generated more chances for himself and the team in those 4 minutes than I saw all game, I think we had 4-5 scoring chances and the 1 breakaway given, but man was that entertaining to watch.
Can we let the skilled guys play like that all game next game?
Yea maybe not the best defensive system, but it will be entertaining and we can finally watch what Parekh was drafted for.
Weegar struggled again last night, can we swap him with Parekh for PP1 so we can watch what Zayne can do with the big PP minutes? He’s out most offensively gifted D-man.
Again I don’t mind loosing if it’s at least entertaining to watch.
But 7 goals in 5 games with loads of parameter low danger shots and uninspired play isn’t it. Let your skilled line(s) get creative, have 1 line with the green light to play aggressively offensive, it’s worked in the past and would at least give us some hope for fun.

It was garbage time and the Knights were coasting. and they still got as many chances including a 2 on 0.
They play that way off the top against Vegas and it's 10-3.

So you're saying we'd score 3 goals instead of 1? I'll take it!

I thought the Bieksa thing wais kind of unfair.
The Flames as a team were terrible, singling out one player on one play as the problem is almost cruel.
When said player just doesn't play that style of game it's even more misplaced.
I'm a meat and potatoes guy so Sharangovich isn't my kind of player for sure, but he's been playing better lately and had about 15 teammates that likely had worse games than he did last night.
Unnecessary drive by on an individual when the team should have felt the brunt.

I hated Bieksa when he was on the Canucks and Ducks. But no truer words have ever been spoken than his statement on Sharangovich’s effort level.

We only got one playing the way we did. Changing things up is very unlikely to get us 10.

Read that as it would be 10-3 Vegas.

Yes - the point is that if Calgary played loosey goosey shinny hockey like they did, when the game was not already over, Vegas would not have just sat there like in the late 3rd.
This is like when the bad Oilers teams of the past would point to late garbage time goals and say they were improving.

You slam the player daily though.
I'm not suggesting he's bowling players over on a nightly basis, in fact he never will ... but last night he was one of the least deserving players for an individual attack, and the stats support that.

The constant playing of Parekh while the 4th line is the on the ice is also baffling. Most offensive defenceman, and you put him out there with the weakest line.
