Today you pay a "deposit" (first monthly payment). Then all payments are paused until sometime in August (this is the path they gave me when I went down the cancellation path)

My deposit for today is on hold, until we finalize renewal.

If you're interested in seat relocation day, my rep told me I had to at least pay the deposit. The rest is on hold until August.

I cancelled. My rep offered the late August payment option when I sent in my cancellation today. I did write my rep a couple of weeks back to see if there were more options, but did not hear back until today. By this point, my mind was made up not to renew.

It was getting too hard to sell the tickets that I couldn’t use. More often than not, I had to sell for less than my cost. It made me realize that I can simply purchase tickets on the reseller market. Attend the games I want without the full season obligation. I realize that some games will certainly be sold at a premium but my attendance is more dictated by the day rather than the opponent. Funny enough, the popular opponents tend to be scheduled mid-week which are the games I am less likely to attend.

As others have said, the benefits of being a STH had been diminishing.

I’m disappointed in having to give up my seats. They were great. If the row had another 2 inches, they would have squeezed in another seat. They couldn’t so the spacing between the seats was fantastic.

I renewed my 1/4 season, but I was in serious doubt. I happened to renew the day Sutter was let go but that had nothing to do with it - I'd already sent the message. a lot has to do with my seats. I don't think they are equaled in the dome.

I have found myself in a situation where I have unused tickets. While I am considering cancelling this year, I am likely to renew due to other reasons. My representative has requested a non-refundable deposit, but I informed them that I have been a loyal season ticket holder and always made payments on time. I will make the payment once everything is resolved to my satisfaction. So far, this approach has been successful. I even requested a Cup winner for next year!

I have always paid in 10 instalments, although I believe the first was just made.

Sad that they see that as a perk, allowing us to use the Flames platform to sell tickets at a loss...
We are approaching the mid-August deadline to cancel. Has anyone tried to cancel recently and was there any push-back?

I have been underwhelmed by the off-season changes so far and do not see a clear 'direction' of the Team or any additional value to the perks. Am I alone?

I don't think it's been for lack of trying.

Teams general lack of cap space has prevented players with cap to be traded for draft capital, plus teams were very reluctant to trade 2023 first round picks.

So I don't think Calgary has been "sitting on its hands" as much as waiting for deals that simply have not materialized.

This is one case where we'll simply need to be patient.

Agreed that we need to be patient to get fair deals and it is not for lack of effort. It is the Flames that are forcing a decision however.

I downgraded in May from season tickets to a game pack. It still gives me priority access to first two rounds of playoffs which is nice and it keeps my seniority. Speaking of which does anybody know when the game pack selection usually occurs?

We got the list of game packages on Monday and were told we have until August 14 to make our selection.

After about 10 years, I've canceled my season seats. The more things change, the more things stay exactly the same. The organization doesn't want to change direction from their status quo. Couple that with every 2nd season being a disaster on the ice (due to direction of the team), it made holding season seats a tough pill to swallow as the resale market falls apart in line with the teams performance...and going to meaningless Wednesday night games against Arizona in the dead of winter is a hard thing to go through with.

Highlight of my run as a season ticket holder was absolutely the Johnny Gaudreau Game 7 OT goal, and coming in 2nd would be clinching a playoff spot back in 2015.

Did end up choosing to keep a game pack? Or just let it go completely.
