Hard to believe that we tied it because Edmonton had too many men, with the ball, in the dying seconds. How do you let that happen coach?
I thought last week when the Mammoth were too slow coming out for the 2nd half, got a delay of game penalty and Calgary scored on the powerplay to tie it at 10 was a costly error but the illegal substitution penalty last night was likely worse.

We'll see on that one. The Mammoth's delay of game penalty cost them their season. Calgary was chasing the game for the entire first half. That penalty to start the third put Calgary even, then ahead and it was Colorado chasing for much of the back half of the game.
Edmonton can still overcome that mistake by winning next week.
They say he could play this weekend, but tough to know as you aren't going to get much of a straight answer in the playoffs. In fact last week the buzz was he would play, then he wouldn't play and they would put Dinsdale in to take face offs. Game starts and Dinsdale is a scratch and Macintosh is taking draws.
He had a good approach though which was trying to draw Thompson into faceoff violations rather than beat him outright. Thompson won more than half, but it wasn't so lopsided that it was a difference in the game.
It's too bad TSN 3, 4, or 5 didn't exist yet... I might actually get to watch game 2 on Friday. With NHL, NBA, MLB, Mem Cup, and WWE. There is actually not any sports channel with available time.
It would be awesome if Shaw could pick this up. If this comes down to a Mini game I wanna watch it.

Sad to see how many tickets are still available on Ticketmaster. And the Rush aren't even selling 90% of the upper bowl yet. Oil Kings attendance for the WHL final was abysmal for games 3 and 4 (but passable for game 6) too.
Somewhat ironic given the post above, but it's 8-2 Edmonton after the first quarter. I think we mostly expected this would come down to that 10-minute minigame to decide.
