^^ that's the most panic I've seen so far...committing to a news conference that absolutely will not happen. He knows there's no avenue for a pardon in Georgia and is desperately trying to get someone political (Governor? AG?) to fire the DA by continuing to spew the conspiracies. If there's any kind of "report," it'll consist of exactly the same claims that are in the indictment.

Dangerous time for America. While there's the real possibility of a crackpot "lone gunman" taking out a judge or prosecutor, I wouldn't be surprised either if there were trained, paid assassins or militia "disappearing" witnesses, journalists etc. This happens in other parts of the world.

So based on my one reading of a news article, it seems constitutionally possible for a convicted felon to still be president.

It's scary/fascinating that Trump can still technically become President even if he's found guilty and even if he was sentenced to prison. It's very difficult to comprehend how a guy like him can still be supported on any level yet alone the favourite to win the Republican primary. Wild stuff.

It's actually quite funny because it's so incredibly counter-factual. If there's one place in the university where people are least likely to just accept pre-prescribed views about the topics at hand, and where extremely different narratives about those topics are taught and accepted side by side, or fought over, it's effin' gender studies

You are much more likely to run into extemely paradigmatic (and less fact-oriented) teaching in more consevative leaning fields like economics for example.

I'm going to guess that while Donald doesn't actually give an F about his kids except for Ivanka, they're still close enough to him that he ensures there's enough separation between them and anything to nail them down.
