He was an overrated piece of crap when he was here. McDavid will turn him into a pylon again like he did in the playoff series.

It’s not hockey but who cares. Watching Canada win and the US faceplant is always fun.

God damn, Akim Alui is a gem.
Just reading his PK Subban statement again. It's so rare for anyone to have such balls and call out bull#### like that. I'm glad I got to see him play and glad it was the Flames that gave him his shot to play in the NHL.

Let’s go Canada! We need this win! Pulling for Crosby to pull off another big moment for Canadian hockey!

I didn't have Akim Alui basically calling PK an Uncle Tom on my 2025 bingo card, but here we are.

It’s almost like when Hulk Hogan fought Andre the Giant in wrestle mania 3!!!
Everyone is getting all worked up and all the villains have come out to play. It’s perfect. NHL knocked this out of the park.
What did this add to the team owners pockets? Massive.
NBA laying a pancake of cold diarrhea on the same weekend. Blue jays botching their big fat stud.
Bettman should announce a $10MM winner pool now to make it insane.

Thanos should have been Brady Tkachuk. Brady has that same cartoonish blockhead.

I care because I root for Canada. I have a hard time caring more because of the political stuff because the result is trivial to that.
I mean it's all pageantry at the end of the day. It doesn't matter at all how many times a black rubber disc goes in one goal or another. But we decide to make it important to us. Same goes for adding a national context to the sport, and once you're there it's a small step to politics and international rivalry elsewhere bleeding over.
So yeah, you're right, but once you suspend your sense of proportion and decide to care about sports in the first place there's nowhere left to stand to criticize people about caring more due to current events.

They didn't do as bad as the junior team did, fortunately. If they had left off MacKinnon (Misa), Stone (Sennecke), and Makar (Parekh) maybe.

3 goals for chip all assisted by Mr Blinders Mackinnon and Canada wins 3-0.
