Questions?

Do shots that get deflected by a defender's stick count as a miss? I think they should.

Do tips that go wide count as a missed shot by the tipper? And not count towards the shooter's stats at all?

yes, it seems to indicate that he gets himself into quality scoring opportunities but can't hit the net, something we've seen often

Smith starting is a good move going forward here. Really hoping for a solid game so we can start to trust him going forward.

Just score 3+!

I miss Valimaki.

Go Flames. Another dominant effort. 6-1. Bennett, Lindholm, Hanifin, and Neal x3. I feel like he’s looked real good out there, on the verge of breaking out.
Drink!

I’m sure my fellow BCers are wondering why as well.
For me, December is one of ~ three months in the season when I purchase Rogers NHL Live (aka Game Centre Live)...There is only a handful of games avail on TV for B.C.-based fans. Same in January.

For me it's less disappointment in the coaches decision and more disappointment in how Czarnik seems to just be one of those guys that is too good for the AHL but nothing special in the NHL.

He's played well and gotten plenty of opportunities but can't seem to put up points at all.

Half of his points are from empty netters I believe and he only a has 4 points.

Mark Lazerus @MarkLazerus

Kahun-Kampf-Kane

I was excited for the game, then I remembered it’s Sunday and it’s Hometown Hockey. Horrible.

Kane will double shift if the 'Hawks fall behind...Colliton is also quick to mix lines.

Kunitz will get about 6 minutes TOI with Kane slotting there in the 2nd and 3rd.

Chicago game callers calling the Flames a great solid team. If you can get the WGN feed. Do it.
Going on about Matthew Tkachuk and calling him the next Flames Captain.

Always said the CHI game callers are one of the best at not being homers.

Really wish they would put Jankowski on that 3rd line:

Mangiapane - Jankowski - Neal

And Ryan makes for a better 4th liner than Jankowski does.
