I agree completely and usually buy a box.

Do you go into a rage or is there someone else you are speaking of?

I think you should read what I wrote, it seems you are speaking about me, who does not treat them poorly, in any way shape or form. You should work on your reading skills.
No, I was speaking in generalities. And no, I don't go bonkers when my doorbell is rung...or when my phone rings either. I deal with both types of solicitation the same way. I say "Sorry, I am not interested" and close the door or I say "Sorry, I am not interested" and I hang up the phone.

And for those who have such a tough time with their doorbell being rung by unexpected guests, then perhaps they should just disengage that doorbell and put up a sign that says No Soliciting of Any Kind.

Perhaps try to be a tad bit careful with your words the next time you quote someone?

My whole problem with religion in general and why I have a low tolerance for religious folk.

Also why I don't believe anyone in this thread actually answered the door naked. Life isn't an HBO comedy either.

Man is quite insane. He wouldn't know how to create a maggot and he creates Gods by the dozen.

I don't agree with their message but I don't understand how some people get off treating them like crap.

Others here may have different experience than me and I agree that no one pushes their way into my house uninvited, I have physically removed pushy energy salesmen from my property, but JWs have never been that way with me, I always forward respect and acceptance first. Pretty sad to hear some of the comments here, it's like a throwback to all the male chauvinists before women's rights.
I agree. I will slam the door in the face of a guy from Just Energy before I am even slightly rude to one of these guys.

I remember sitting on a rock having a smoke during a break one summer I was landscaping and 2 missionaries came up and had a pretty good conversation with me.

They even helped me get some equipment from the truck, that I was unable to do myself until help arrived. If I was wearing a suit like that, there is no way I would be touching something so greasy or heavy, but they insisted.

You know how Kramer used to enter the room on Seinfeld? That's how I walk through doorways with bead separators hung in them.

I hate those goddamn things.

I'm confused. I've never really run into the JW you guys are describing. The ones I see only ever want to give pamphlets and then will shuffle away.

Mormons on the other hand like having conversations. I used to run into them all the time. I don't see the need to be rude. At worst, I just say "Sorry, in a rush" and turn away. Though generally telling them about a different church location you're interested in because your friend invited you generally works pretty well too.

My family is not religious and we lived next door to JWs. They, and their friends, would always stop by and chat with my mom. She would discuss anything they wanted, as long as it wasn't about religion. She would accept their magazines, and would sometimes read them. They were all very nice people, and they just had a different belief system than we did.

The day I passed my driver's test I drove the car home. When my mom parked in the car port she would slowly inch in, touch the fence, and bounce back a bit. I tried the same thing, except I probably did it at 20 km/hr. The fence crumbled. I tried fixing it, but I don't possess any construction skills at all. The JW next door had the fence fixed in 20 minutes and never told my mom. I appreciated it so much that I gave him all of my mom's beer from the fridge.
