Well they should, I agree. However, since any of those first 4 picks would be a great addition for us, we won't get it. The Universe is against us, on a "basic cosmic forces" level.

Tim Erixon self goal, credited to Brian McGrattan. That's all I have to say for tonight's game.
Edit: And then leaving the game from an upper-body injury because of a hit from......McGrattan. CYA: I don't wish injury on any player, ever.....but c'mon, you know that's kinda cool....

Jeez...I miss watching the game and there's 10 goals scored?!? Oh, and the Flames lose. Damn it.
How many more to go? Why isn't Sven up here?
Playoffs can't come soon enough. Sometimes I wish the lockout killed the season.
Sorry, this is just depressing.

We were wounded tonight. We can't fault the players. It's been an exhausting couple of days dealing with it. But the weight is lifted off all our shoulders.
We have no expectations, no way to win. We can have a little fun, and trade some of those guys who have been hiding out.

Brodie blew chunks this game. Easy 2 give aways and one conversion. Total letdown as I have been admiring him to date.

Yep, one bad game out of 80+, better ship this bum out of town. What a total letdown.

As far as saying he's done in the league? Hope that was meant as green text because if not give your head a shake, he's probably the best goaltender this franchise has ever seen.
Is he long for the Flames? Probably not, but he'll end up on a playoff bound team and help them on a run.

If anything - that is being unkind to Kipper - but the ratio is swinging significantly in the other direction this season. He certainly is not being helped by the comedy defending in front of him, the Brodie turnover a prime example, but who really has confidence in him right now?
I hate to say this, but if we are looking for a win, I'd rather MacDonald in net. Kipper just looks so full of holes and some of the easy goals he is conceding are as headscratchingly baffling as the previous game changing saves.

It is amazing how much better Bouwmeester is this year. TOugh game for Brodie - no worries.
Cannot believe people talking like that was Kipper's last NHL game... he's lost interest... Umm have we forgotten his two prior games where he was a star?
Yes it has been a tough year for him. Didn't play during the lockout. No pre-season games, he gets off to a slow start - shocking. Just starts to get it going and gets injured and misses a month. Comes back, takes a few games to get going - shocking.
Then is a stud for 2 games - ok. Has a bad game - he's done!
Reading this thread, all I can think is that there are going to be a lot of butthurt fans for the next few years. And you you think it's bad now, wait until Kipper is gone

Yeah - bottom 3 guarantees a top 4 pick, which means Barkov, Drouin, McKinnon or Jones. I think it's a a bit of a drop-off after that...

I don't know, When I am looking at the draft rankings, it looks like there's the top 6 in a league of their own then 7-12 are great 1b options. Haven't really dug beyond that because I don't think the Flames finish anywhere out of the top ten.
1. Jones
2. Drouin
3. McKinnon
4. Barkov
5. Nichushkin
6. Elias Lindholm
All of those guys are great.

Just back from Winnipeg International Airport.
Well, they lost, but I had a good time. Going to Calgary and watching the Flames play has been a dream of mine and am happy to have accomplished it despite the loss.
