Believe it or not, but I found Tetris works wonders. After a few hours of that, all you see is little falling blocks.

Would burying the entrance hole work, or would he just dig it out again?

We had similair issues at our old house. My wife put down a thick layer of flour at what she beleived to be the entrance to the "lair". He thinking was that she would see little foot marks to confirm if there was a skunk or not........she then found a new shinny object to focus on....

Decoration, used in crafts/furniture. Antlers were an in style semi recently in parts of North America for home decorations.
Also there is the ever present chinese demand for stange animal body parts for recipes. This is still the biggest source of demand for them.

Sure I might run my business poorly and my income could fall....but someone with a full-time job could get fired tomorrow and be making 0 dollars right away.
I think looking down on the self-employed is out-dated thinking. It's a different world out there now....the internet really changed everything. Lots of people work virtually and make a pretty nice income. I have absolutely ZERO clients in Calgary and can work from here just fine.
|
I've done the self-employment bit and I wholeheartedly agree.
In my line of work I provide financial documents for clients in order for them to be approved for loans all the time and the self-employed are at a sever disadvantage.
Quite honestly, I believe it stems from the fact that financial institutions only hire finance guys who think 'cash is king' and while thats true to a certain degree, it also shows that there is little understanding of the financial documents that they're analyzing.
When a self-employed client of mine goes to a bank to get financing I walk them through the whole process of the information they're going to be providing. Normally the client (self-employed individual) doesnt fully understand the financial statements themselves, but its important because they have to be able to really walk the banker through it.
The bank wants to know how much money is left over after its all said and done. For an employed individual this is simple, you show them your T1 and employment history and a basic rundown of expenses and voila! For the self-employed you have to know your gross income, your tax and GST liabilities as well as your expenses because what you have deducted that makes the difference between Gross and Net income is influential in the loan-decision making process.
Needless to say, in my experience once you've gotten to this point you just sound like an adult from Charlie Brown.

A female friend who is married sends a text that ends with "Still, you are on my mind..." How would you interpret that?

Do you text with her occasionally about "normal" stuff? Maybe she accidentally sent the text to you when she meant to reply to someone else. Or she wants to doooooo it.

Send her a picture of your junk, and see what her response is.

It's usually all very platonic but she very definitely intended to send me that text. Not the first one either, she sent one a couple days ago saying that she was missing me and I had seen her the day before. I'm not looking to initiate any sort of infidelity but I'm not sure how to handle the situation.

If you don't want to have any issue, then talk to her and explain you are uncomfortable with the type of texts she is sending. Perhaps she doesn't see it the same way from her end. Often talking to people clears many issues up.
Although, I still you think you should send her you junk.

Yeah I was just thinking that I need to talk to her face-to-face and find out what's going on.

My guess:
"Lobo, I have always had feelings for you, but now that I'm married nothing can happen. I just wish things were different"
"So why are you telling me this now and not __ years ago when it would have mattered?"
"Because I wasn't sure of my feelings and I didnt want to ruin what we had as friends"
"So what is the point of telling me? Now I get to walk around with this what-if feeling and fantastical idea that something may happen way down the road, after your divorce."
"My husband doesn't pay attention to me like you do and I just want to keep a tight grip on you just in case something happens between my husband and I"
"Great. Nice to be on the backburner"
Just my two cents. No, Im not bitter.

I didn't know her before she got married but I know where you're coming from Matty.
If she wasn't married I would absolutely be all over her. Marriage kind of blows goat d**k.

Id say if you did'nt know her previously you probably have a better chance of making it a reality. Just depends on how you feel about being a party to infidelity.

Truth be told I dont typically get close enough to most of the Bovidae family to really worry about it.
